Where is the outrage from the White House? Where are the protests and marchers? Where is Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton? Why aren't they decrying the murder of Americans? Why isn't the President going to the funeral and singing at the service or sending a representative?

On another board I'm on, one of the Obama supporter said that "If he's such a bad leader why did get win the Nobel Peace Prize?" And it was on. I missed it! LOL.

didn't go there a couple of hours after it started and the Mod said they had never seen a thread go so South so fast!

Obama is in mourning. One of his own was killed.

He did say his thoughts and prayers were for all those killed.

That includes the terrorist.

I am so conflicted. Sometimes I just don't know what to think. In my heart I don't blame an entire demographic for a whole lot of bad people who happen to be affiliated with that demographic. On the other hand, I have listened to former muslims who, in their lectures, have warned against trusting anyone believing in Islam. They have stated that the entire Islam mantra is to get rid of the infidel, dying if they have to in doing so.

I have a lot of Muslim friends. They're decent, hardworking people and they're absolutely sickened and heartbroken every time something like this happens. They do NOT condone it. As a matter of fact, when there was a plan afoot to kill a number of train passengers, you know who turned the extremists in? The people at the mosque they attended.

Also, the one thing they all experience is fear. Fear of being painted with the same broad brush and fear of retaliation.
Some people are just ignorant, like the US marine who attacked the Greek Orthodox priest with a crowbar, thinking he was a Muslim due to the long beard. Ignorance abounds.

That's like saying white people raise serial killers, so I'm going to hate all of them.

That's EXACTLY what people are saying.  One kid shoots up a church--and suddenly everyone who ever displays a Confederate Flag is guilty.  They are now on a witch hunt to ban flags, take shows off of television, move graves, take down monuments, and even blast mountains.

We have a LOT of Catholic priests here who have molested little kids. And I do mean a LOT. I guess I should loathe all Catholics and not want them in my country, because clearly, they are raising child molesters.

Wow.

This is what liberals do.  Everyone they disagree with is labeled as "ugly" or "hateful" or any one of a number of other derogatory terms.

They want to stamp out free speech.  They want to quash anyone who dissents from their group think.  They want everyone to be sheep and subservient to their narrative.

Members of this so-called "peaceful" religion have killed 270 MILLION people throughout history. They make guys like Stalin and Hitler look like rank amateurs.

If you add up all those Christians have killed in all the wars of religion from the Crusades, to the wars between Catholics and Protestants, to the Inquisition--and even those who died from DISEASE brought to the New World by Crusaders and others--you don't get 1/100th of that number.

I don't know any priests. I don't remember ever meeting one.

I have known religious leaders who were and are nice, trustworthy people.

I've also known religious leaders who were mean, domineering, controlling people who I wouldn't trust alone with a child, not because I thought they might be sexual predators, but because I saw in them the capacity to be violent with a child.

In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:

“We condemn this horrific attack in the strongest terms possible. Such inexcusable acts of violence must be repudiated by Americans of all faiths and backgrounds. The American Muslim community stands shoulder to shoulder with our fellow citizens in offering condolences to the loved ones of those killed and injured and in rejecting anyone who would harm our nation’s safety and security. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families impacted by this tragedy.”

My world is comprised of decent people of every stripe, regardless of political views, religious affiliations, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc.
Unfortunately some people are just full of hate.....liberals, atheists, Catholics, gays, Muslims and who knows what else. Be careful....hate has a way of eating you up.
What's truly unfortunate is that they pass on this hate to their children.

But ALL Muslims are NOT terrorists...except in your mind.

If they are supporting and sympathizing with them, they are.

This is really good to know.  I am ignorant and draw on what I read and what everyone one else says.  As I said, My heart does not believe all Muslims are terrorists.

But the bolded is not true today. So how is the relevant?

Today was the first time I have ever heard the muslim community speak against their own. I was glad to hear it finally.

I know that piece is missing from my thought pattern.  They need to speak out if the are against the acts.  I need them to do that.

I have known some Muslims. I dated two different Muslim men. One was old school. And that ended it. He didn't believe in bombing everyone but very much felt like women were property. The other one was a doctor and he was funny as heck. He used to make Muslim jokes all the time. He was nice and kind and funny. I got to know some people in the Muslim community. They were very nice and welcoming. They taught me a lot about their customs. One of the biggest problems in the Muslim community is that if you speak out against terrorists then ISIS will target and kill you. And not just a little killing. They take your children and chop little pieces of them off one at a time while you watch. Then your wife. Then your mother. Until your whole family is killed. And then they kill you. Most Muslims are very terrified of the extremists.

You can say I'm defending them all you want but there are reasons they do the things they do.

You know why they get away with that crap? Cause no one stands up to them.

I don't care the reason. Stop being a doormat and take a stand.

So not wanting your family slaughtered in front of you is being a doormat?

Lily, I think you are more PO'd at how our "leaders" are responding versus the being PO'd about Muslims.  We all need to understand where our feelings are coming from. You are a Christian and know to love your neighbor. I know you get that and embrace it.  Remember that other people are not bad just because they identify with a religion that terrorists identify with.  It is hard, I know that , I get you.  But in my heart I have to believe not all Muslims want to kill us.  I am afraid too but I have to hold on to my belief that most humans are kind hearted and I know you believe that.

Unfortunately some people are just full of hate.....liberals, atheists, Catholics, gays, Muslims and who knows what else. Be careful....hate has a way of eating you up.
What's truly unfortunate is that they pass on this hate to their children.

You are right--liberals, atheists, gays, and Muslims are full of hate.

 Yeah.  And so are you.
