It's 4am and I'm up. On my day off. Going crabbing, shrimping, fishing. Low tide is at 5:22. So we are up. Yawn.

20150718_062919.jpgSitting on dock chillin. Got a couple dozen shrimp and some bait fish. Just one crab so far. Saw two dolphin that swam by. They were about 15 feet away. Attached photo from phone so it's sideways. He's getting more fish than us.

DH went 6 hours between HydroC's...cranky as heck AND nauseated. I told him that he needed to eat. Going to make a grocery run, then work 12 - 4.

NJN,

I finished watching Fifty Shades of Grey. While I can't say that it was good, it wasn't as bad as I expected! Mostly because Dakota Johnson has a great body & an expressive face.

It's race weekend in NH. The traffic yesterday heading north toward Loudon was awful. It's amazing the number of RV's that head that way.

Weather is supposed to be stormy this morning but in the 90s. Tomorrow is supposed to be humid and a heat index over 100. Glad I have AC.

School work today. I've got a midterm and a test due. Plus my normal posting. Also need to start on the final projects that are due in three weeks. God, I feel so behind right now.

Oh, no hives or welts this morning so far.

Good morning all!

SB, looks like a wonderful place to relax! Love you picture!

Flan, hopefully your DH will feel better today.

LL, packing is a bummer, that is all I have to say about that.

jlbear, so glad you don't have hives this morning! That is a good start to your day.

IKWTDS, glad you are helping your DS. He will probably have you cleaning. ;)

NJN, a trip to the zoo is always fun.

FNW, my DH used to sleep on the couch when the kids came into our bed. It was either that or he would shove them onto the floor.

Beautiful morning here today. Yesterday was a steamer. Storms came threw about 9 last evening. We had quite a lightening show. At least it is much cooler now. Looks like a good weekend for fishing later today.

Hope you all have a great day!

JLBear that is great no hives today. Perhaps something just had to work through your body and it's gone.

FWM, a cookout sounds fun. We will pack up DS' kitchen and living room today, will only take about an hour or two. Then we are grilling steak tips. I will come home late afternoon which will give me time to get laundry done and take the dog for a long walk. It was so nice to hear the excitement in DS' voice when I talked to him a bit ago. He knows he has a lot of planning to do this week, but then he will be off on Monday the 27th on his Big Adventure.

Czech, we are planning on having my house cleaner do the cleaning after he moves out. Next step is to find a tenant.

I spoke too soon. There are a few hives behind my right knee. But, it is minimal compared to what was happening before.

Brunch was good. DH made french toast with leftover rolls and peppered bacon. I also had a blueberry smoothie.

Now I am trying to figure out what the professor wants for the midterm project. It involves conducting a volunteer program needs assessment in order to assess its effectiveness. It's due Monday.

My kiddo cooking class was a hit (some months are better than others). We made a dip with peanut butter, yogurt & honey & the kids put it on apple slices, bananas & honey-wheat pretzel sticks.

Watching Ace Ventura 2 with DS. Every time an animal comes on screen, he points and says 'og-gie!' (doggie). He does correctly identify dogs but not every animal is a dog, lol!

Hey all. Hope you're all having wonderful days. We spent four hours at the zoo and I walked four miles up and downhill. I am now in bed with an ice machine on both knees! DN's work did wonderful with the zoo thing. We all got arm bracelets. Kids got blue and adults green. We showed our bracelets to get in for free. We had complete access to the park and they had some special displays. We got a really cool shot of SS standing next to a fish tank and there was a real live diver in it. He was posing for pics with the kids. It was 98 degrees here today. Freaking hot. We used tons of sunscreen and took massive amounts of bottled water. We literally filled a backpack with bottles and took it with. So when it came time for lunch you lined up in the line and they cut off your wrist band. I thought that was a really cool idea. That way you couldn't go back through the line again. They gave you three huge slices of brisket and a big piece of sausage. You could have as many sides as you wanted. They had baked beans, potato salad, buttered bread, and sliced onions and pickles. And tea and water. I got a plate but didn't eat it. We brought a lot of our food home. We really had fun.

Had a 12-hour fasting blood draw this a.m. Was the first in the door at the lab when they opened at 0600 hours. Have a doctor's appointment at 0945, and hope to have a bite to eat soon so I don't get shaky.

Plan to visit with friends later, and to try to keep cool as it is in the 90s today with high humidity. I really wish my landlord would allow A/C in the apartment so I can stay indoors instead of trying to hang out in places with A/C all day. LOL

Lazy Saturday here. Husbands's playing Portal 2 on the big tv in the living room. Bunny is playing Legos. I am doing a few loads of laundry and rereading my Tana French books.
Dinner with the in-laws tonight, so I don't need to hit the grocery store until tomorrow.
Maybe we'll go for a swim in a bit.

I didn't know there was a zoo there.

I was wondering if you had to come into Dallas or ft Worth. Everyone keeps saying that we have to go to ft worth zoo, but we really like Dallas zoo.

Have you been to both/either?

Fwm? Opinions on zoos?

I have never been to the Dallas zoo. I have been to the Fort Worth zoo many many times. It's a really super nice zoo. The very last time I went I was disappointed because they were renovating and a lot of the animals weren't on display. So I would imagine it's even better now. But sadly, I can't compare the two.

Our zoo does birthday sleepovers. How cool is that?

Yeah! It's to learn more about the animals night habits. You get there at night and eat dinner. Then they show you around the zoo at night. You sleep there and they wake you in the morning and get fed breakfast and get a one day pass to the zoo. I mean, how cool. I want a zoo birthday for my next birthday!

The Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha does overnights for school groups.

The local fifth grade class has gone for years. The kids love the overnight stay at the zoo.

Two grand's have attended and came home full of excitement and stories. It is a wonderful, fun filled, experience for kids.

Glad your SS can attend an overnight at the zoo, NJN. :)

Back from DS's.  I packed up the whole kitchen including the wine.  All the glass and granite tops from his living room and dining room furniture are bubble wrapped. All he has left to do is his garage, which isn't much, and his utility room.  He already packed up one bedroom.  He is going to pack a lot of his bedroom tonight.  Still, moving day will be hectic.
