Oh, despite the stereotypes, I actually think many are honest, even in Washington.
I think much of the problem is that they make promises when they are running for office--and then find out they CAN'T keep them. They don't have enough power or clout to do so.
I am pretty jaded about those who have been in Washington a long time. I think they have lost much of their integrity--Hilary, Mitch McConnell, Harry Reid, Pelosi, even John McCain. I think they've become jaded, too willing to compromise what they stand for, too willing to cut corners.
