I have so many shoes, they used to have their own room. Seriously. (NJN has been in the room). I have a pair of patent leather red peep toe stilettos that I got in Italy that are my crown jewels. I purge every couple of years (not by choice, I am made to...:( ). I have about 90 pairs right now...

She has about 100 pairs. Between heels, sandals and tennies.
When everyone else was getting bouquets after performances, she was getting baskets of shoes.
I collect purses now.

I kept mine lined up neatly on the closet floor and then around the parameter of my room.
Caitlyn has a book shelf for the ones she wears most often. She keeps the others in shoe boxes. They stack nicely.

Mine are in a pile at the bottom of my closet. G's stuff is on one side, mine on the other. I have my floor, his floor, and all in between, with a path for him to get to his closet rod. Thus the reason he makes me purge every year or so. I think sometimes, he even throws out a pair here and there without me knowing...

I have a cedar chest that is uniquely shaped. It is on legs & about hip tall & sits inside my front door. The shoes I wear frequently are in there. The others are in a regular cedar chest & in my closet.
I used to store mine in their boxes and wish I still did that. Kept them from getting dusty. But I have shoe racks that line two walls in my closet and most of my shoes are on that. I store them seasonally, with the non-season shoes in a plastic bin now.
Any shoe or boot is worthy of conversation and admiration.
