It's not actually in my town. It's in another town, right across the county line. It's like the other side of the tracks, kwim? But close enough to hurt.
It's actually where I grew up. It used to be a lake town. Now they call it Hispanioch. The signs in Wal-Mart are all in Spanish...

Oh my goodness! So glad you weren't there! My nephew lives near Nashville but he was probably at work. My theater has stadium seating so once you go up to sit there is only one way out. I'm not sure what I would do if there was an incident. I always want to carry at the movies but the theater is a gun free zone.
A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
I saw that and came here to demand Ohfour check in with us...glad to see you are ok.
Its been an emotional day, but this brought me to tears. To know that people I've never met would think of me at times like this and worry abiut me is beyond comprehension. Thank you. All of you. For your prayers and your support. *ugly cry time*.....

I was in the ER with #2 (he fell at the pool at camp and sliced his chin open) and I didn't learn of it until we got home and I caught a glimpse of it on FB. You came to mind and I raced over here to GT and saw that you posted about it so I breathed a sigh of relief knowing you were not there.
I took the boys to the movies last weekend (Minions) and tried not to think of what might happen while I was there. I try not to live in fear but when these things keep happening, it's hard not to worry. But that's the whole point of terrorism I suppose. To instill fear.
More info coming out. He has been committed 4 times for schizophrenia. He really was a sick man. He has a pellet gun because he had been denied purchase of a real gun because of his mental issues. So, the gun laws worked in this situation.
Yes, it was suicide by cop, but from what I'm gathering, he may not have even had the mental faculty to really embrace what he was doing. He was a very very sick man.
We HAVE to do something about our mentally ill. This is not fair to us...or to them. They need forced treatment. I know...I know, that's a slippery slope, but this has to be addressed.
