our house uses propane and I am not sure what it is now, we always do the summer fill and pay ahead at lower summer rates for our winter propane. but use our wood burning stove and so do not use much propane at all. but congrats sounds like you got a fabulous deal!

Propane is the highest cost heating these days. My neighbors installed a pellet stove because the propane was costing them 3K+ each winter. I only go through about 600 gallons of oil a year. I wish I had a larger tank so I could pay just $1000 for heat for the entire season.

That is a great price. Too bad you don't have two tanks.
We have gas for emergency backup.
It's warmer than the electric heat. Can turn on the fireplace in the den and within an hour the whole house is warm. As long as you don't close any doors.
I don't miss the mess but I miss the wood heat.

No more oil for me! We saved a bundle in the past 12 months since we converted to gas for heating.
But you have Natural Gas in an area where you have a good supply line. Lots of people here (30 miles north of you) converted to Natural Gas over the past few years, we don't have the supply lines to support the demand so the gas prices here are very high. Oil is the cheapest source even if its $3.50 a gallon it is the cheapest. Crazy.

Heating oil? It's still over 90° here. I don't think many people use that here.
This is the time to buy, its at its lowest. You southerners do not need to worry about heating.
That's not true. It gets downright chilly sometimes. I even have to wear a sweater on occasion.
Crazy, isn't it?
Et tu, SB? Et tu?
LOL! Sometimes even California has severe weather. This picture was taken for insurance purposes in my area a few years ago, after some unusually harsh wind (not for the faint of heart) :
