The more signed up for free or reduced lunches, the more assistance the school gets. It's about the money.

Yes, there are a lot of choices now. It's generally a choice of main dish. Sides are usually the same with a few exceptions.

My kids tend to get the salad bar every day. They say it's the best option.

Unless there is pizza. Then they get that.

I don't know what it is about school pizza now. It used to be nasty. We covered it with French dressing just to get it down. Now it seems to be the best thing ever.

it was 34 again this early AM, with more frost, but a light one, and is now 93 degrees~

LOL no, just wear a hoodie, well other than today, it is in other car I brought yesterday to work, and if that is not enough I turn little heater on under my desk and take the chill off. burr, but then go out to car and if I forget to turn the heater off, which I really needed on the way to work at 6:30, get hit by a blast of blowing into my face hot air along with the blaze of the car and feel like I will go up in smoke...POOF! well hasn't happened yet...but you know IT could

 rofl.gif Yup, I can see that happening. It was 41 degrees here this morning, and it's 76 degrees out there now. I keep sweaters stashed all over the house and van already.

Some of our trees/plants are starting to turn, too. My newly planted nandina are starting to turn dark red and the leaves from some oaks are coming down. The pine trees out front are starting to shed their little pods, too. Can't wait to get those trees out during tree guy's slow time.

I need to get myself out and pick the choke cherries and plums, I want to make jelly...but not feeling it LOL. Strawberries are doing good but the little damn bunnies that can squeeze through the fence around my garden are enjoying them immensely!

I used to ski. Note the "use to" part. Yup, official klutz here. My uncle said my arse was attracted to gravity.... and my face was attracted to trees. no 

I'm still amazed I survived.

 Nope.  No balance.  I have to sit down to get dressed.  No lie.  I was klutzy before surgery but after two knee surgeries what little I had left was gone.  In therapy they used to make me stand on a foam pillow on one foot to learn balance.  I failed.
