Every Christmas it seems that Facebook and Twitter are flooded with messages from ungrateful children bemoaning the often-expensive gifts their parents have got for them.
But one little boy in the U.S. is showing the spoiled brats of this world how to accept a gift with true gratitude after his father deliberately gave him the terrible gift of an avocado for his birthday.
While most toddlers would have been reduced to tears after unwrapping the present, this boy simply beams at the camera, adding 'thanks!' in an unbearably cute voice.

Father Jeff Simmons said he gave his son the awful gift as part of a test of the boy's manners, one which he passed with flying colors.
In an email to Global News, Mr Simmons said: 'Earlier in the day we were teaching him that when you get presents from friends and family, you have to react in a polite way, even if you don’t actually like the present.
'So we wrapped up an avocado later on and this was his response!'
The short clip, posted on Vine, shows the boy unwrapping the oddly-shaped birthday gift which is covered with Christmas-themed wrapping paper.
