I'm up, I've been busy. House cleaner came. I had to revise DS' TH lease and leaving soon to meet with the tenants and get it signed. I have some lawn work this afternoon, but I think for the most part the day will be about relaxing. I have a book to read for my book club. "Think of a Number" I hope its a good one.

Ended up working on my day off yesterday for about 5 hours. Today what does DH want to do? He wants to go to the Co Op and see what we have that he might want. Really? I hope I can talk him out of it. I need a day off.

Student Government had a carnival yesterday and raised over $500 on the dunk tank alone. The best part is - it was DD's idea to get a dunk tank! She is excited about seeing an idea through and reaping the rewards. I am so proud of her. Last year she proposed that SG needed a Treasurer since they were actually raising money and doing things like a regular SG. She was nominated by her classmates to run for it and she won. So she is the first Student Government Treasurer the school has ever had.

Spouse took the last bag of M&M's last night, and (again) told me not to buy any more.

Some time tonight she will be whining and demanding M&M's or Carvel ice cream cake.

I haven't seen a dunk tank in years.

My 5th grade year the middle school had a fund raiser and the coach in the dunk tank lost his finger.

His ring got hung in the fence as he was dunked. Ring finger gone.

That's the last time I remember seeing a dunk tank any where.

Leased signed! Glad that is over. Just one more meet up with the tenants to hand over the keys. Will do that closer to move in time.

It's a hot one here today. Glad I put the AC on before I left the house. It feels comfy inside. I do need to get the dog out for a walk and do weeding, but like I said, that is it for work today.

I slept off and on for about 12 hours so no nap time for me. Need to get some chores done like laundry and floor mopping. Need to freeze the roasted cherry tomato soup into individual portions.

I thought the hives were lessening and they were. Until this morning when they are back with a vengence. I swear I look like a leper with the marks, bumps and blotches. And the itching!!! I need relief and it just does not seem to be coming. The Rx cream has jumped in price even with insurance. First fill was $30. Second was $10 because I remembered the coupon. They wanted $183 the other day. I passed because while it helps some, it is minimal at this point. Just need the insurance to approve the other meds which I hope is soon.

Let me strongly suggest that you call the company that makes this medication, if you haven't already, tell them about the jump in price and ask if they can and would help you with that, since you cannot afford it now, and will have to suffer without it.

Also ask your physician if s/he has any samples you could have.

Also call up the pharmacy at ANY Costco and any Walmart, and ask what their price is for this without insurance.

Do you know whether this is a brand-mane drug, or a generic?

Call your insurance company and ask them o check the price. It is possible that the drug store or the insurance company made a mistake.

Please don't just let this go and do without it, without trying my suggestions.

Also ask them what the timeline is for approving your other meds. That process shouldn't take more than one business day.

Something I had to teach Spouse ...

If you get someone on the phone who is supposed to be helping you, but is unhelpful or downright nasty,

say something like, "I can't hear you, there's something wrong with the phone line. Hello??? Hello??? "

then hang up and call back, you will probably get someone else. (If you get the same person, just hang up and call back a few hours later.)

SS had the boys down the street over to play. Layla wanted to play WITH them. The boys didn't appreciate that so they shut the door effectively shutting her out. She laid on the floor with one eye to the ground watching under the door what they were doing until they came out again.

JLbear, what a pain. Perhaps the cream is only offering a minimal amount of relief, but I have to tell you about my skin condition. After that past horrid winter, I developed a rash type thing around and right above my ears. It is a condition that can be brought on by harsh winter conditions. I was given a prescription and used it for the past 5 months. It gave some relief but just this week I realized that one ear area is finally healed and condition gone. The other one is almost gone. In those 5 months I still had itching and such but kept using the topical solution. Do google for coupons and take Ed's advice. Keep at it for at least 6 months.

Oh I will be following up for the mfg discounts. I know all about that especially since DH works for pharma co. It is a brand drug and I have almost exhausted the samples the dermatologist gave me. I have been very vocal but need to wait for a business day to deal with it further.

But considering how much of it I have been using and it just seems to be getting worse, I don't know how effective it is at this point. Plus it is almost covering my whole body (and shall we say I am not petite) and one dose barely covers an arm, let alone the whole body.

I have also tried other creams we little to no success so far. I think that the shot will be most effective who it gets approved.

I hope I don't sound whiny. I am appreciative of all the advise and good thoughts. Thank you

We are sitting on the side of the highway. We took the kids to the lake today and our car started squealing and got really hot on the way back. It will be two hours for a tow so a friend is coming to get me and the kids and DH is waiting. A tow truck this far from our house is going to be a small fortune! Not to mention fixing whatever is wrong with the car.

Gosh NAOW, that's too bad. Hope everyone gets home safe and sound and it's an easy and cheap fix.

My mom just got back from the ER, I was right. Her potassium bottomed out. A banana bag and three potassium pills later and she feels 100% better. Just hung over from being sick since yesterday.
