I do not like the GAME of football. It's slow and annoying. When you are down by 6 with under a minute, that minute will take 15. That is NOT exciting.

I try explaining that to DH, but he doesn't get why I feel that way.

Y'all can start a "Football Haters Club."

What's next? Hating apple pie???? evileye

LOL.  I'm allergic to apple pie.

And FYI - BASEBALL is the American passtime, not football.  And that's boring, too.

Hockey.  Hockey is the best sport. And it usually only stops for penalties, like fights!

My husband got us tickets one time on the second row.  Wow that was fun.

Yes, I love hockey. Luckily that is the only sport my city hosts.

 DO we get Tshirts?

And no, we will serve apple pie at our meetings, along with an apple free dessert for LL.

I make a wonderful  sour cream  apple pie.

I enjoy football. Especially the Super Bowl. I love sports and going to live games. Except the crowds.

I KNOW! Brad Paisley, a famous country singer, is coming to Baylor to give a free concert. They are having it at the football field. First three thousand get in. I really wanted to go but when I saw that number I freaked.

When the baseball stadium near me is doing a giveaway, the place is crawling with people. Some are just so rude too. Takes the fun out of it for me.

WE don't have a team, anymore.  During the move, I found an entire box of Atlanta Thrashers stuff.  My office used to have season tickets.

I do not have any favorites in regards to "Fall".  There is no change of seasons here.  In fact, it is forecast to be very humid with very light winds until next year sometime due to El Nino.  So many storms are blocking our usual wind pattern, so hot and humid it is.  It is another 4-5 months with 88F temps in my house (with fans on), and near 90F or above 90F temps outside.  Fun!  Not.

It is a time of numerous holiday celebrations which emphasize being with those you love or your families (for those that do have them).  It is a time of out-of-control consumerism with some giving their lives in an attempt to buy a popular item with a limited supply.  It is the gimme, gimme, gimme; me, me, me; must have, must have, must have attitude that makes people act  crazy or psycho just to wrangle a coveted item.  People must have things.  The more things, the better.  Buy all the things!  Buy everything!  They are not satisfied until they get the items they want, and if they don't, they bash and berate themselves and make themselves feel bad.  Over what?  An electronic item?  Seriously?

I am not a religious person either.  Fortunately people are smart enough to just leave me be.  I really don't want to hear about it.  I just look forward to January, when I no longer will be bombarded with the greed, need and consumerism of the holidays.  smile

Bah humbug.  The holidays are not about greed, need and consumerism.  They are about love, generousity, thankfulness, and fun.

While I absolutely love Christmas, I must agree with the bolded. I hate the pushy, rude, entitled attitudes that infect people between Black Friday and New Year's. I try my best to avoid shopping as much as possible during this time.

I also do not and have never understood the need for the latest gadget. I'm happy with what I have.

Unfortunately probably ten times that many people will show up trying to get in.  Thirty thous is too many people for me to deal with.
