Kids brought this over today for us to watch as a family.

It was depressing and slow, until the end, when the hero saved the population of Earth.

I wish I hadn't wasted my time, didn't enjoy it.

I thought it was slow at the beginning and I didn't really "get" what was going on. But, if you hang in there it's SO worth it karl.

I've heard good and bad reviews of this movie from people I trust. I'm currently somewhat on the fence about seeing it. Even the people that I know who did like it said it was kind of slow though. I may watch it when it comes to HBO. I don't think I'll "Red Box" rent it.

It is slow in the beginning. But well worth it.

it does seem to wander, particularly early in the film--the special effects are spectacular indeed--the writing is rather weak and lacks much

overall, meh........

I didn't really like it. They never explained how he got behind the bookcase. That was a really big hole in the plot.

Well, I could agree with you--but then we'd both be wrong.

I was more interested in the human connections, I guess.

I could explain it, but that gives away the whole plot.

I know...even husker's comment gives away a key part of the plot.

They absolutely DID explain how that happened. In a bit of detail - but you had to listen and not assume you knew what everyone was talking about. Really listen.
