No costumes. I think we may have SS though. DN and Sparkly plan on coming over to help hand out candy. It should be fun. I think they are going to dress up.

Jesse is going as the Grinch.

Aaron is going as a safari guide.

Caitlyn needs 2 costumes. At work I think she is doing a ninja turtle but at the thing the church is having, she and a friend are talking about doing Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy.

I'm not going anywhere so no point in a costume.

Don't have to worry about candy.

We live in a nice subdivision so we get a fair share of trick or treaters. However, we don't live in town so they don't really come from all over. Our subdivision is in the middle of nowhere. Mostly it's the kids from our subdivision. I buy tons of candy and always have some left.

You'd think we would have a lot of kids where we live.

But I think most just go to the churches and stores now.

DS is going to be a warrior king.

I spotted a sheer black cape with sparkly rainbow pumpkins on it and had to have it.

Not sure about DH.

When I had my house, I got lots of kids. My neighborhood was full of young families. And there was an apartment complex down the road, I think we got some of those kids too.

Now, we have 2 neighbors. One of them has a Halloween party, so I get to dress up for that. But no trick-or-treaters out here :(

I'm thinking about doing little bags of candy this year.

I always made special treat bags for the neighbor girls and for the few "special" trick or treaters who came - friends, cousins, etc. Everyone else got the regular stuff.

I think I have to dress up this year for work. I actually hate dressing up and I am trying to think of something witty and simple.

ideas anyone?

I've got the candy, let's hope it lasts until Halloween! I like the idea of making goody bags for my kids in the hood, think I will do that. I want to dress up but in an easy costume.
I will decorate the outside next weekend, looking forward to it.

Bunny has decided to be a ghost this year. I *might* consider making Ghostbusters costumes for Husband and myself.
Still have to come up with a theme for Bunny's birthday party ( 9 days after Halloween). He mentioned minions, that would be fun and not too difficult.

One year my mom was a Buckeye "Fan".  She had on her OSU sweatshirt and I made fan blades from felt and glued them to a headband

 40s or 50s housewife.

One of the women from Mad Men.

You could be a Coca-Cola girl.

Car hop.

Princess.

Pocahontas.

Pilsbury dough boy.

Wear a red and white polka dot dress and make a "leaf hat" with some foam and pipe cleaners for your head, and go as a strawberry.

Or a red and white polka dot skirt, with a black shirt and Minnie Mouse ears.

Or an orange sweater, red skirt, orange knee socks and red shoes and you are Velma!

A long white dress with braided belt - put your hair up and snake through some fake rubber snakes - you are Medusa!

#1 is going to be a ninja turtle (not sure which one) and #1 is Capt. America (again). They picked out their costumes at BJ's already. Mom is going to wear all black and wear the mask from "Scream" and sit on the porch and hand out candy. She has a little skeleton that runs around she found at Cracker Barrel for effect.

I don't know why they would not be simple.

Had a teacher dress in all white and in black sharpie wrote "generic man" on the front.

Simple and witty are hard to pull off together.

Because I have all the needed components for a Pillsbury doughboy costume just lying around?! Or Pochahontas? I wear professional clothes for work and jeans and sweaters at home. I don't exactly have a loincloth dress and beads lying around. Or a poodle skirt.

Wear a dress with some pearls (costume or real) and put on an apron and be a June Cleaver type housewife.

 Dough boy.

White pants, turtle neck, socks and shoes. Pick up a chefs hat at the Halloween store.

Pocahontas.

Brown dress, turquoise jewelry, flat sandals.

Halloween stores have poodle skirts, surely you have a sweater set.

40s-50s housewife.

A line skirt with crinoline, sharp, crisp shirt, scarf, pumps, and pearls. Hair in a smart french twist.

Coca-Cola girl.

Nice full skirted dress, big flowery sun hat, a bottle of coke.

Or go toga.

A little imagination goes a long way.

I saw a pic of a denim shirt and a red bandana - Rosie the Riveter. This may be the winner for sheer simplicity.
