Well, I am on the late afternoon of Tuesday and it was a beautiful, sunny day with a slight breeze and temperatures that were just right for short sleeves. Really a nice fall day; hope we have more of them.

Morning ya'll.

I woke up a whole hour before I have to get up. No point in going back to sleep.

It's only 62 but it is muggy hot.

It tried to rain all day yesterday. Didn't get enough to float an ameba.

Maybe it'll rain today.

My mawmaw is having a rough time again. Her meds make her sick and now she has another hernia bothering her. She is 85 and just plain worn out. But she's a fighter.

Well. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Except for you Karl. You already have it seems. So good Wednesday to you.

My small child has started calling me "Mine!" and getting very upset when ever DH tried to pick him up. Kind of funny, kind of not.

Home with a sick child today. Doctor is frustrated because his maintenance is not maintaining, his allergy shots don't seem to be doing anything, and he's still getting chest congestion. Back to Children's for another pulmonology work up. My guess is surgery for his right middle lobe will be next. In the meantime, he's back on antibiotics, the doc wants me to continue with orapred a couple more days, and add singulair to his maintenance plan. And #1 needs to go back to the ENT to make sure his tubes left his ear. I haven't had a wellness exam in years and was supposed to get a baseline colonoscopy, but who has time.

Bonny, my boys went through a phase where only I could do certain things and only daddy could do others. We just complied when possible and waited for the next phase.

NJN, whose children are you watching? Sounds like your DH is having a good time!

Awe, FNW, you poor boy! I hope he gets better without having to go threw surgery in the future. Gosh, that would be awful for him!

I'm glad my DS isn't the only one!

Everything is 'MINE!' in his world and boy does he get pissed when he doesn't get whatever he's declared as 'MINE!'.

Sounds very typical for his age. This too shall pass. smile

Ugh. I have a vent. I just bought a new comforter and the first night I used it my dog threw up on it. I've washed it twice, but it's too big for my washing machine and is not getting clean so I have to take it to the laundromat. I'm tempted to just buy a new one.

I feel your pain.  My cat yaks hairballs on mine every other week it seems.  I just squish it into the washing machine.  Try applying shout or liquid laundry soap right on the stain & let it sit a bit before washing.  Liquid Dawn dish soap works well too if you have a place to rinse it like a utility sink or the bath tub.  If you use Dawn rinse it all out.  I'm not sure if it is harmful to the washing machine but I've never wanted to take the chance.  Good luck.

I did put shout on it before squishing it in there. But I can try the bathtub idea before hauling it out. Thanks!

Dawn comes off in the washer and is not dangerous for it. Don't ask me how I know!

FNW, so sorry to hear your kids are sick. That's miserable. We have weeks where we're insane and then weeks when nothing is going on. During the busy weeks we grin and bear it and during the slow weeks we wonder why we're not doing anything. We're/I'm watching DH's ex step daughters little girl. She's two and a half. And she's a cutie.

Jesse had sinus surgery. It made the biggest difference.

Cut his illnesses down to one or two a year.

And when he does get sick, it's over in record time.

Of course it seems there is nothing to stop the drainage from coming out now.

I wish I had done it a long, long time ago.

I'm not sure if his sinuses are the problem. It's more his lungs. I think they need to go in and have a look around.

I hope DS feels better soon, FNW.

DH took DS out to the playground for a bit. Per the usual, he gathered a bunch of sticks and carried them around. Whatever floats his little boat!

Boys love sticks. When you get a house you can make it fun for him to put the sticks in "piles", the ones that come down in storms and the Fall.

FNW, that sucks for you and the boy. I'm sorry.

Czech, nice drive by posting.

Lily, yep child hood surgery is tough on the parent but can make life so much easier for the kid.

Hope I didn't miss anyone. It's tough being on the GT on a much limited amount of time now.

Orange kitty is wandering out from under my bed periodically and then hiding again. DD's friend was fussing at us for calling him orange kitty but that's what his last owners called him. Once he adjusts we will call him Phin.

Just started storming here. Went from somewhat daylight to pitch black in less than half an hour. All the fuss on the news about flash floods yesterday and it waits till tonight to actually rain. Yesterday, it was only very light rain on and off. I wonder how many motorists will caught in AZ's Stupid Motorist Law.

I had pulled pork and a chocolate shake and am stuffed. DH and I are tired. This being normal and getting up at the crack of dawn is discombobulating.

We have a law under which you will be charged for your own rescue if you are stupid enough to cross a flooded roadway.
