For example we're not particularly litigious up here. If you win, you don't win much. If you lose, you have to pay for a large part of the other parties court costs.
So again...speak for yourself.

America is the world - isn't that what everyone else accuses us of thinking?

And you think that doctors being able to screw up without and redress available to patients is somehow better?  Yeah - you can have that.

Well. Since America gives more than $50 billion in aid world wide.

More than any other country, including Canada.

Yeah. America pretty much is the world.

And that is not counting the emergency situations that come up and money and supplis are sent by the millions.

So maybe America and our way of doing things ain't so bad.

To say America is the world and it is a fact because we give billions of dollars to other countries is stupid. We are trillions of dollars in debt. We are giving away what we don't have. This line of thought is brilliant.

Did you ever stop to think something fishy is going on?

If all that money and aid is going out annually,  perhaps things aren't as terrible as some would like us to think.

AMERICA keeps the world funded.

Yet so many want to complain about it.

I think our government is happy to spend money on whatever because 1.  It's not THEIR money, and 2.  They'll never really have to pay it back so who cares.  And I should add three, I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist.

Your active grant programs pay for things like offsetting the cost of Americans studying in Canadian universities, which are much cheaper. Why should we eat the cost? That hardly counts as "funding Canada."

Lol! Who is always there when you have a natural disaster? Who rescued your hostages? Who gave your planes a place to go, and welcomed you with open arms, food and lodging? Who brought your Apollo 13 astronauts back to earth?

When an in-flight explosion damaged NASA’s Apollo 13 spacecraft en route to the Moon, the manufacturer of the craft’s lunar module turned to  the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS) for critical advice.

“A group of us at the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS) were having a routine staff meeting when a telephone call came from the company that manufactured the lunar module,” recalls Ben Etkin, a now-retired UTIAS professor. “The company needed to tell NASA how to safely detach the lunar module from the command module and they wanted our help.”e University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS) for critical advice.

The way some people talk, you'd think the US is the only country which ever helps anyone, ever.

Maybe you didn't tell the ones you know that Canada is only an afterthought.

I really don't care if you think I'm not a real Canadian. Where did I say you were bad? Show me one post where I said Americans are bad..

I'm merely refuting the posts that say only America helps the world. Only America this and only America that.
