Program Manager. She isn't my direct boss, we, as support peeps, are matrixed into a program. She sucks and everyone knows it.

The doctor never called back with my results. That means another long night of pain, I don't even want to go to sleep knowing how bad it gets at night. They better call first thing in the morning.

What's ironic is Baby A just started sleeping all through the night (12 hours) and I haven't go to enjoy it yet.

You poor dear.

You know the doctor told us to keep throats wet after the kids surgeries.

I bet the drying that happens at night is making it worse on you.

Maybe keep some water by the bed to sip on during the night.

I think that is exactly what it is. I have a humidifier and a water bottle right by my bed, but I still have to get up to make tea (it helps more) a few times.

I would ask the doctor first.

But what about something like Biotiene? (I think I spelled that right)

I know it made a HUGE difference for me.

There is a mouthwash/rinse you can gargle with.

But there is a spray too.

She gave me Magic Mouthwash. I has lidocain (sp?) in it, but you can't swallow it. So it does help with everything it can reach, but the bad area is too deep in my throat.

Thanks Tang. That's what I've been doing. Chai tea (Tea Tea, lol. I'm always going to see it that way now) with honey.

A little peppermint oil with the tea and honey may help.

Gosh, I hope the doctor calls you in the morning.

Ooops! Sorry! Is that bad? I wasn't kidding, though. Chai is literally the word for tea, in a multitude of languages, from Hindi to Chinese to Turkish to Russian to Farsi to Czech to Sanskrit.

I always giggle when I see "chai tea".

Yes. DD uses it in her mix for sore throats and it works wonders.

Oh, and NAOW, some people add a tablespoon of blackberry brandy to the tea mix. My brother swears by that one with the honey and a bit of lime.

 Today was NOT the weekend.

See there are two parts of the week, what day it is doesn't matter.

It's either the weekend or not the weekend.

My grandmother spent every summer in Alabama, so maybe it is. She loved her southern treats.

She was a right proper southern lady then.

Sweet tea, cornbread, okra, grits and gravy.

All served with fresh garden tomatoes and home canned pickles.

The only okra I've had was in soup out of a can when I was a kid. It was fine.
