I'm on my third day home sick. I can't remember the last time I missed 3 days of work in a row that didn't involve a planned vacation.
Doctor says I have a virus that is causing swelling, including swelling against my inner ear, which is what is causing the vertigo. He gave me medicine for it, but either way - I'm not allowed to drive.
I'm sorry you're not feeling better. Did the doctor say how long this would last?

3-5 days. I have to go to work tomorrow, but DH will drive me.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
I think my level of anxiety and the sheer number of panic attacks (I'm like a small island in Japan having earthquakes today) indicates the level to which I need another job . . .

A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
Good news! My DIL is now in the hospital and they are going to induce labor in the morning. The little guy is being a little bit stubborn. My DIL was showing signs of early preeclampsia so since she is past her due date they don't want to wait any longer.

DH asked me to make a list so he could go grocery shopping. We will see how this goes!

So an update on the crossing guard if anyone wants to know. Her leg is broken in two places but her ankle got broken and may need surgery. The boy is fine and got to meet her in the hospital. The family is really grateful. She and her husband are elderly so the community has taken up a collection for the boy to replace his bike and also they are collecting gift cards to restaurants so they don't have to worry about cooking until she heals. More details were released. It wasn't exactly a hit and run. The driver of the SUV hit the crossing guard and ran over her leg dragging her along with the car. Apparently some people had to bang on the window to get the driver to stop. When she finally did they had to tell her to back up as the woman's leg was pinned under her wheel. The driver was a 44 year old woman. I would bet money that she was talking on her cell phone. The crossing guard said that intersection is very dangerous. I didn't know that but DH and I have seen multiple people run that stop light and have the police pull them over.
