Does it pee on your rug? It's not a real dog if it doesn't!
It better not!

DH to talked his car today. He spilled coffee on himself and hit a parked car. I need new car suggestions. I would like something bigger than my scion xd with good gas mileage.
I'm sorry about your hubby's car. When we looked at the Scion we ended up going with an Altima which I felt had more interior space and the four cylinder gets good gas mileage.
Anything bigger in overall size probably won't have great gas mileage.
The Scion gets really good gas mileage for what it is. It will be hard to find anything bigger with BETTER gas mileage.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
My Altima has 207,000 miles and is still going strong.
Hope DH is okay
He's fine, just feels like an idiot. the new car will be my commuter car and the primary family car on the weekend. I plan on driving it as long as possible. I'm looking at a Prius.
Mom has a Cmax hybrid. She drives to middle Georgia at least once a week and she drives an hour every day to her mom's and back.
They took it on their 3 week road trip and said it was amazing on gas.
When we went to Myrtle beach, they only put gas in it on the way home after a week of running in it.

I've had (company supplied) Prius's for the last 5 years, and I really like the handling, small turning radius, good acceleration and braking. Mileage, mostly local is about 35 mpg.
What I HATE is the forward visibility, because the front roof pillars are VERY W-I-D-E because they have airbags inside, and with the steep slant, they block way too much of the view of traffic and pedestrians.
We have a couple hundred of them, and every driver has has a long series of "OH CRAP !!! Where the hell did THAT come from ??? " moments as we slam on the brakes.
We had Highlander Hybrids before the Prius's, and gas mileage was the same.
The Prius is just under 3,000 pounds, the Highlander was 4,200 pounds. The Highlander was very smooth and quiet to drive,
the Prius is ...
not.

How is the battery life these days? My understanding of the early Prius' that after 70K miles the batteries needed replacing at a cost of 10K. So people dumped them at 65K miles.
