Managed to work in a couple games of chess with dd. We are both learning to play.

thanks. today was day 7-of-12. I will have worked at least 4 hours for 12 straight days by the time I have my next full day off. I'm going to ask boss-man if I can leave early on Friday. I hope my work load will allow it. He's going to China next month, I need to get his visa and travel documents squared away. Never done that before, I'm so nervous I'm going to screw it up.

That sounds fun. PBJ used to talk about the benefits of playing chess with kids.

the Brightside is at least I get paid overtime. So my boss' procrastination on his presentation causing me to need to work yesterday and today cost him a pretty penny. And I've got my eye on some new shoes

It's voting day tomorrow! The country seems unsure which way it is going! There is a strong ABC (Anything But Conservatives) faction, but the Conservatives still seem to have a stronghold in many areas.

There was a man on the radio today who says that he has been of voting age for over 55 years and has voted in every election for which he was eligible at all levels of government for 55 years and this was the first one of which he was afraid of the outcome. He also said that this was the first time in 55 years of elections that he was going public with his vote (Liberal - Justin Trudeau) because he felt that it was important to push for ABC votes and to say that he felt it was important to say who and why he was voting for and to make his case.

Ugh. My voting card is here on the desk so I don't forget it tomorrow and can line up to vote!
