From the ones I have known and observed during trips to the Philippines, they are not exactly shrinking violets....
Yes. A local hospital was having trouble keeping nurses employed. So their big plan was to import nurses from the Phillippines. I mean, do they think they are stupid? As soon as their contracts are up, if they can get more money down the road or better benefits, etc, they are going to leave too. The hospital needed to address the underlying retention issue, not just assume they can bring in people who may work for less initially.
As for that couple, he had just picked her up at the airport and she had put her hands on the car window inside his car and he began scolding her like a little child on how she is "not allowed" to put her hands on the windows, blah, blah.
There are a LOT of Phillippino nurses in New York, I've met them while working in operating rooms.
Without exception, they've been smart, capable people who spoke fluent American English.
If a hospital is specifically "importing" nurses from The Philippines, expecting them to work for sub-standard wages, they will probably be loyal at least as long as it takes to get permanent residency papers, and document a U.S. employment history.

I have never seen this show, but have seen previews, is this the one where they are driving and she accidently touches car window and he gets upset and says it is NOT ok, and she repeats not ok?? and he agrees and she puts her whole hand on the window I LOVED that LOL
also how exactly does this work, they meet how and then bring the person to the US and have 90 days to get married? or? I am curious
