we are having a real fall this year and it is awesome, the leaves are actually turning before they naturally fall off!
we have cool nights in the lower 40's upper 30's and day are perfect clear blue skies with fluffy white clouds and in the low to mid 70's, no wind, just beautiful.
My Dh is almost done with the greenhouse, just needs to get the doors in. We measured for the plastic and will get it this winter and install next spring.
Brought in the last of the tomatoes and zucchini yesterday. I AM so glad the garden is over this year, we stopped watering it, and IT kept producing!
It sounds like everyone is enjoying their day and thanks for the reminder I need to clean my oven too, maybe tonight when I go to bed. I did the top, front and oven vent with some ammonia two nights and it gleams like brand NEW. My daughter was over and I commented I was NEVER cooking on it again

I generally grill most meat we eat or roast, but everyonce in awhile something mom used to make just hits the spot!
tonight my husband is off, so we are having date evening. LOL not night, we go to bed early.
I get off at 3, I will run home (we live 15 miles out of town towards the SE and I work 10 miles out of town on the NW) so a bit of a drive but worth it. He was on nights last night so he will take a nap and be ready when I get home. We have a fun little bar and grill where they KNOW our name, and what we drink...and always bring over our two cold beers as soon as we come in! (A good friend owns it and we only go there when we go and it is early afternoon when I get off) we will check the football boards and my husbands lottery tickets, then have a couple beers and go pick up our daughters fiancé and go to a fun little *joint* that has happy hour food/appetizer specials and she will meet us there when she gets off work.
Enjoy a little catch up and a drink and then we will head home and maybe watch a little TV, and just relax and then a nice soak in the hot tub off the back deck (I am working on him to knock one of the 5 windows in our bedroom out and make it a door right to the hot tub, but so far no luck) LOL I am forced to walk through kitchen and off back deck~ then shower and bedtime....ahhhh I AM looking forward to it now. I might even light one of the chimineas on the back deck (yes the ones I used to almost burn the deck down with years ago) I will be supervised this time! so deck is safe!!!
Hope you all have some fun relaxing plans for the evening

I love a cold cold night, esp. with snow and sitting in the warm water, we have a gazebo around ours, but not totally enclosed, it is white lattice and wood, so air comes in and the contract of the temps is fantastic
Enjoy your soak tonight

A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
We spent the afternoon at the park. Took lunch out there and had a picnic. We had fun.

That sounds wonderful NJN. Glad you had a nice day.
Aaron asked Santa for a hot tub one year. He was 7 I think. You should have seen Santa's face.
But I'd love a hot tub.
Date evening sounds great too.

O4 that view is fantastic. I have that in my entire yard. I love it but don't think its special which is a sad state of mind. I should embrace it, even when I am raking the darn things up!
I entertain a hot tub, but need a screen porch first to put it in.
I am letting DD stay up late. Tomorrow morning we will pay the price, but I just need time with her, even if it is just watching a show she wants to see. I just don't get enough down time with her.
Looking for a 4 day trip at Christmas with DD. DS has to work the week between Christmas and NY's so we aren't going to visit him. I am thinking of NYE in Boston or if I can't get a hotel room then somewhere else. We will need a vaca and I have the time off.
