OK, Dh's car is getting pretty rough around the edges. Looking at something with AWD. Must have that. So, looking at a Subaru Forester, Honda CRV and Ford Escape.

I am getting a new car soon I hope.
I looked at the CRV but they look a bit mini van to me now. I am interested in jeep cherokee sports or the jeep renegade

The escape is rather small, I looked at those. Subaru's are awesome but I would be more interested in the outback wagon. BMW AWD is awesome!

I have a Chevy Equinox AWD. I am very happy with it. I was pleasantly surprised with it's affordability. It also gets better gas mileage than I was expecting.

of the three you mentioned, would choose the subaru--their build quality / durability are excellent--depending on your price range, would also look at 4Runners--legendary reliability / quality / overall value--would make certain you prefer AWD versus 4X4 as there are significant differences in price and performance / function between them

I was looking at the CRV too, since it is similar to what I ended up getting, but I didn't like the look of it, otherwise it has really good ratings and seems like a great car. I've always heard good things about Subaru too.

We have a 4Runner. Apparently the engines tend to blow up at 150,000 miles. Had to have an expensive head gaskey repair and now it is back in the shop for another oil leak and expensive repair.
