If a fetus is not a baby, I'd sure like to know what was in my uterus for 39 weeks and 2 days ...
If you wanted a baby, which you clearly did, you should certainly acknowledge it as your baby.
Legally, it was a fetus, and in a lot of places it became a baby with its' first breath.
I don't like the idea of disagreeing with a Mom about her child, no matter what its' status is.
You decide for yourself.
So what you are saying is it is easier to call that incubating human anything but a baby.
Because to actually call it a baby would mean acknowledging that you condone murdering a baby.
I'm saying I would never argue about this with YOU, and I would never argue about it with the teenage girls I've seen in the hospitals waiting for their abortions.
Clearly YOU call yours a baby, they might or might not. I would never ask.
I'm not asking you to argue anything wit anyone.
I am talking about personal responsibility.
What do YOU call it?

Bristol didn't kill her baby! She took responsibility and is raising him.
Do you really not understand this?

And if that fails, then you dont kill your child. You take care of it...or let someone else...
Good. Want to go to the Operating Room and tell that to the line of little girls waiting for their turn inside?
What kinds of things do you think they would say to you in response?
What little girls?
In 2010 the average age of a person seeking an abortion was in their 20s.
25-29 was the average age range.
That accounts for 58%.
So that's like 6 out of 10 are NOT Little girls.
They are women who could have NOT gotten pregnant in the first place.
Women who are old enough to face their responsibilities.

Lily, please don't confuse this argument with facts.

This goes back to the old idea ed has that all these eight year old's are getting abortions. The plea sounds really good but the facts don't match that. There IS NO PLACE that has a line of preteen girls lining up in droves for their abortions. But again, it sounds really good for the other side. And they say the left makes up chit.

She actually had the facts straight. ed was the one with the wild and crazy tales of eight year olds lined up for abortions.

I don't know where all these eight year olds are. Honestly, I don't. My SS is ten, almost 11. They know what sex is but they don't want any part of it. When I tried to find stats on how many kids that young are having sex the best I could do was a health and human services poll, or whatever you call it, in which it said only 2% of kids 8-12 have had sex. That's not a whole line. Not even if you take every one of them from across the country and line them all up. The stats are saying more and more girls are waiting until they get out of high school to have sex also. So I really don't know where all these girls are coming from. Maybe Trump is importing them?

No, I never said 8 year olds were lined up for abortions. Where did you get that? Did you just make it up out of nothing? You don't have a valid point to argue so you make up crap?

This was in Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn.
"Little girls" in that instance means that about half of them were between 12 and 15, the rest looked like 15 to 18.
No, I didn't ask anyone's age and I didn't look at anyone's chart. I DID listen to them talking with each other.
At the time it was a 2500 bed hospital in an impoverished area.

"Little girls". Define "little girls". A teenager is NOT a "little girl".

12-18 is not a "little girl". They are teenagers. Well, except for the 12 yo technically. But 13-18 is not a "little girl".

Little girls aren't 12 to 15 to me. And I don't believe anyone lines up for an Operating Room at a hospital. That just doesn't happen. Surgeries are scheduled. You don't just get in line for that.

Lines and lines and lines of girls lined up on gurneys in the hallway waiting on their abortions. I'm sure they all told you they were getting abortions.

And IF, and I don't believe there is an ounce of truth to this, IF this scenario is true that's even way more reason that abortion shouldn't be so easy to obtain.

Of COURSE people are going to do it. People are going to drink and drive. Should we make it legal, just because some people are going to do it anyway?
- Ohfour

No we shouldn't make it legal. But what we should do is make drinking regulated and safe and make driving regulated and safe, which is what laws against drinking and driving do. They don't deny the right to drink, nor do they deny the right to drive. They just set conditions on when and how it's legal.
Actually, now that I fully reflect on your comment, you legally can drink and drive, as long as your BAC doesn't go above .08
And if that fails, then you dont kill your child. You take care of it...or let someone else...

If a person can be responsible enough to prevent a pregnancy, they won't have an unplanned pregnancy.
YES !!! Tell that to the poster girl, Bristol Palin.
There are girls who think they can't get pregnant their first time.
Some think they can only get pregnant while they have their period. Or that they CAN'T get pregnant while they are bleeding.
There's a serious lack of good sex education in our schools, and parents often can't or won't provide real information to their children.
So why aren't you arguing for better sex education instead of promoting killing babies? I still can't imagine any man would presume to know so much about young girls and their sexuality.

I'm actually glad that Bristol Palin was brought up. She is THE poster girl for anti-abortion. She made herself AND her mother look like fools. She could have gotten an abortion and saved a lot of people a lot of stress. But she didn't. She delivered her baby and is taking care of it. Not once, but TWICE! She's been made fun of by TV anchors, late night hosts, and the democratic party. She's been hailed as the definition of hypocrisy by the left. And yet, her children's lives mean more to her than the flat out bashing she receives from the left.

Yeah. The liberals want to focus on her indiscretion.
But what they can't see is how she actually IS doing what is right.
They can't see she took responsibility for her actions.
They can't look into the eye of someone not playing the victim card.

I was going into their operating room from 1972 to 1976.
Still BS.

But wasn't she the poster child for abstinence?
I have zero idea what your last sentence even means...

Her AND her mother are the poster children for life.
Okay, I found this:
In February 2009, she told Fox News that abstinence is "not realistic at all," but that she would like it to become more accepted among people her age.

Not talking about abstinence...

You believe there were lot's of young girls lined up in the hallway and they all told ed they were there for abortions? When you have to make crap up to even have an argument then it's really hard to take anything said seriously.

I still don't see how the Palins are anything BUT role models.
They faced adversity and embraced their mistakes and owned them.
They didn't blame anyone. Didn't shrik their responsibilities.
They have held their chins high in the face of all the criticism and have maintained their dignity.
Anyone who has a problem with a mother actually keeping her child instead of killing it, is very telling of their character.
And honestly, I'm not in the least bit surprised by those here who do.
