Great news Ed! Congrats!

I came home to DD and 3 friends starving, so dinner was spags and meat sauce with some nice crusty bread. Nothing much but the girls were so excited to have home cooking that they tripped over each other to set the table, clear, etc.

Tomorrow is Friday. I can't wait. I need a weekend off where I can sit and just chill. No running around. I don't care what anyone says, if I have to put pants on, I am going to be furious.

Such a good news thread, with the exception of the tornado sirens.cry

I am so busy, this job is giving me ups and downs.  I keep thinking I will be fired but am reminded every day that there is no way I will be.  This is a huge job.  I think once I learn it, I will look to move up in the company and get back to managing people.  It won't cut back on the hours, but will on the brain pressure.  I guess it is true as one gets older they are more valuable as a manager and mentor rather than the heavy analysis work.  Or perhaps this is a rant brought on by my overloaded work schedule Grrrr.

Anyway, Exdh is still an azz. I was supposed to go away this w/e but he is just putting obstacles in the way in taking DD, he will if I arrange this and that.  Finally told him, no, he isn't taking her.  I have now been invited to do other social stuff but not things I need a babysitter for, so that works.
