I'm about finished with all my Christmas shopping.

Even have my cards bought and will start addressing those next week so they can go out the day after Thanksgiving.

I wait even longer.

Conor's birthday is December 5th.

I won't start with the Christmas decorations, until after his birthday. (On the inside of the house.)

I will put up the outside lights, right after Thanksgiving.  Weather permitting. smile

I saw some various things I wanted to buy. Some for me, some for Christmas, and some for my DN. So I shopped a little today. We usually don't do the bulk of it until right before Christmas. I did buy a personalized family Christmas ornament tonight. We get one for the family every year.

I hardly ever shop before Thanksgiving. I do much better under pressure. Something about shopping with Christmas Decorations and Christmas music puts me in the mood. I just don't want to see it before Thanksgiving and I've been known to take my tree down the day after Christmas because by then I'm done and want it all put away till next year.

I love Christmas and Christmas shows...JUST not right NOW...sheesh I will feel over it before it even gets here. I HATE that! so I am avoiding the Hallmark Channel and the Christmas shows

I will put my tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving like I always do. I do a Harley Tree, with Black, orange and white lights, black and orange ribbons and HD ornaments and tree topper. I do still put the special family ornaments on too. I just need a Harley tree skirt. Need to get online and look.

My DH will be putting lights out shortly cause the weather is still so nice, we have been known to be out in the cold and wind doing it~ grrr they are all on timers and will not be turned on this the weekend after Thanksgiving or Dec 1.

I do admit *whispers* LOVE Christmas Music, but have been resisting....

Sounds awesome!  See, this is the problem, I have a Halloween thing for the door, but not Thanksgiving.  This is the first year I have ever purposefully decorated for Thanksgiving.  I have a cornocopia on the dining table spilling gourds and pumpkins, and I tried to keep the indoor decor for Halloween more Harvest related so I can keep it through Thanksgiving because we are having family in for Thanksgiving - but my outside, I have NOTHING!

 Buy a couple of potted mums and a pumpkin for your porch along with a harvest wreath and you are good to go.

 last year I got a bale of straw and put it by my front door to my breezeway and decorated it with scare crows, gourds, different colored pumpkins

fall leaves etc. 

I noticed craft store and Walmart have smaller bales of *straw* you can buy (I got mine at the local feed lot) and your can pile those into arrangements with pumpkins etc.

there is lots you can do and then save away in your garage or storage til next year,

 What kind?

 I like older music and country, not much of the new singers, often I do not know names but I know which ones I like.  When my kids were in school in band they sold a set of Holiday CD's as a fund raiser and I LOVE those, I blast them from the CD player in my kitchen all season...and listen to my Sirius radio on a holiday station.  MY family is not impressed, so I listen to other music when anyone is riding with me, but alone...I SING along at the top of my lungs...

I don't have any Christmas cds. When I was a kid I loved my mom's Paul & Paula Christmas album & Elvis's.

I keep Christmas CDs in my car and play them when I'm stuck in traffic. All year around. They make me happy and calm.

I just placed an Amazon order for some things for the boys for Christmas. I like to get as much done ahead of time, too, so I can enjoy the holidays better.
