Well, dinner was good but there was no ring and no announcement. They just wanted to tell us that they'd been looking at rings and that we would be the first to know. DN says she wants me next to her when she gets married and she wants DH to give her away.

They're good kids! I know where they're going with their relationship. I know what their goals are. She absolutely refuses to have a baby with him unless they are married. Some of their friends are encouraging them to go ahead but they're smart cookies.

Carlee has had two seizures today. That's never happened before.

We're not putting her down. No way. They have medicine for it. We've just been avoiding putting her on it because of the side effects.

It sounds like it might be time to try the medicine, NJN.

Maybe the side effects won't be too bad.

I know that some dogs do very well on the anti-seizure meds.

I agree with fwm.  she may not have any side effects and it wouldn't hurt to try.  Hugs to your sweet doggie.

Thanks all. Up until yesterday we had started seeing a pattern in her seizures. Then she had two in one day. It was really weird. We're so afraid to leave her alone and go out somewhere now though. And none of the kennels will watch her with the seizures. I don't know what we'll do. We're going to have her thyroid tested and take it from there. The meds are pretty toxic to the liver and can cause them to have cancer of the liver. That's why we've been holding off. But we'll see. If we have to put her on meds then we'll do it. We will do whatever is best for her.
