Good morning and happy Monday!

We survived the weekend! Barely..

DGS had a fantastic first birthday party yesterday. Wow, did that kid haul in a bunch of gifts. He loved tearing the paper best. We all had so much fun and papa and I got him to ourselves all of yesterday morning! We were almost late to the party!!

Good food, good company, the Huskers won, the Vikings won, what could be better then all of that?

Another beautiful day here as well!

Now to recover.. ugh, am I tired.

Afternoon everyone. It was so hard to crawl out of my nice warm bed this morning. I keep repeating in my head that it is just today & tomorrow & then I get a full week off. And I have tomato soup & toasted cheese sandwich for lunch today. Yum!!

The service unit that does day care for our handicapped DD called, they will not be giving her services on Wednesday. It's a holiday for them. Not a single employee is a veteran, but they get the day off, but not my DH, who is a veteran. Gotta love government paid holidays. no

 We are closed.  If the Federal Gov't is closed we are too.  We take as many days off as we can get!

In order for DH to become a citizen he had to serve in the military. He served in the British military along side the Americans. He regrets the fact that no one told him he could have served in the American military OR the British military. So he lost all his benefits once he became an American citizen.

I have no idea if our schools are closed or not.

Well, my chore for the day is done. I have cleaned out all three freezers to prepare for the holidays. I found some freezer burned chicken that DH is cooking for the dogs. I also found a bunch of turkey bones we never boiled down to stock so DH is doing that now to add to the dogs food. There were a couple things that were so old we just tossed. Then we went and got our free turkey for Thanksgiving. I feel like I got a lot done. I even found another gift for my SS.

No crises at work today, which is always nice. Had a follow-up appointment with my PMD this afternoon. My numbers look good. She was pleased about that, but she does want me to at least maintain my weight, not lose more. I will do my best, but I don't really have a good appetite. Food is not a big priority in my life. I consume enough to survive, but don't think about it, daydream about it or watch shows on the telly about it.  smile 

So I will see how I do on my follow-up appointment next year.

 It's in the Christmas section, but they actually have some pretty paper in there that would work for any occasion.  I have bought a lime green swirl and polka dot paper that I use all year.  Make sure it is 50% off.  The rolls are 100 square feet, and you'll pay $4 (50% off $7.99).
