Just following a theme here!

flan, you need to watch No Escape with Own Wilson.  EDGE OF THE SEAT!  I was so tense watching it!  I would just get all nervous and literally hold my breath.  Pierce Brosnan is in it too.  Also watched Max.  Great movie.  And Rikki and the Flash.  Break out the kleenex.  If you have a dysfunctional family you can watch this movie and laugh and cry at the same time.

DD has a 1/2 day today, when she gets home we are planning on heading to the shore, only about an hour's drive. It is a place where DS and I lived for a few years. Our favorite candy place is there. We try to make the trek every year.

It's the Thanksgiving Pre Game Day! Gonna do some pies when DD gets home and start getting things prepared. Will get the bird ready and just put in the fridge and then have it ready to pop in the oven tomorrow. Gotta get the Christmas china out, etc.

I really need to get these kids of mine in line.. First day of Thanksgiving break and they were up at 5:30. I mean it's like they don't even know who their mother is. And they're doing crazy stuff like wanting breakfast, talking to me AND expecting me to answer.

The day is off to a slow start here.

Need to get a turkey, make three pies and a large pan of buns.

The dining room needs to be decluttered.

And that is all I'm going to do this time around.

I feel bad! I thought I have mentioned this! I am sorry!

I met him at the bus stop. He asked me out. I took time because of the previous break up. So I called him one Sunday. We met for lunch. He is a Dr. of Engineering, a great cook and a rabid QVC shopper!

My children have had direct access to my mother for less than 24 hours and she has already decided she is buying them the stupid, over-priced mermaid tails that I vetoed on Christmas lists and told them they would have to buy themselves.

Morning everyone. I only work until 3:00 today then a long weekend.

The house next door to me was recently purchased by an LLC. They have been doing extensive renovations which is odd because the house was in great shape. Now there are half a dozen little dogs & I think she is running some sort of dog rescue service. I'm all for animal rescue but really don't want to listen to a bunch of yippy ankle biters all weekend long every weekend.

The shore sounds great.

My kids have been out of school since Friday. My niece and brother got here Monday night.

Mom's been busy all morning in the kitchen. So far she has made breakfast and boiled eggs.

I'm going to go get things moving shortly.

I just ordered new bath sheets. I love Neiman Marcus's Marcus collection sheets but when they aren't on sale they are expensive. They were on sale & free shipping. I think they always have free shipping. I am happy happy happy!!

My morning so far ...
DS: Hungry!
Me: So eat your breakfast.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

The cornbread for my MIL's mom's stuffing is cooling. It's supposed to sit overnight so I will make the stuffing tonight. 8 hours is 8 hours whether it's "overnight" or not. I love that I can give MIL this taste of home, so to speak. She says I come very, very close to nailing it. It would only be perfect if her mom made it since each cook has their special touch. Not to mention exact ingredients, cookware, heat source, etc. I take it as a huge compliment that I come so close to nailing a recipe that I'll never be able to taste from the original cook since she's dead.

Have to decorate the Reese's cheesecake, make my biscuits, and make the stuffing today. I'll spread the cooking out throughout the day. I'm sure I'll have the assistance of my mini-chef. He helped mix the cornbread batter. I'm sure he'll have a blast breaking apart the cornbread later tonight. I think I'll decorate the cheesecake while he's napping since I don't want help with that.
