I just had a very pleasant experience grocery shopping ...

at WALMART.

There were a few close spaces in the parking lot, the store was not too crowded, the lines at some of the cashiers had only one cart already being checked out ...

and ...

they had TURKEY DRUMSTICKS!!!

 

The turkey I'm getting for the family will be already cooked, and seasoned.

So I have to cook something salt=free for Spouse.

Better turkey drumsticks than chicken.

Well, congratulations Trudy! You sound very happy.

I made the cranberry sauce, celery stuffing, and fancy cheese ball. Tomorrow I am making dressing in the crock pot since we are traveling to my mom's house.
O4, I hope your shopping went well. I was shocked by how nice everyone was at the grocery store this year. I hope you have a similar experience.

I'm making meal #2, turkey and white bean chili. It's simmering right now. Smells really good!

I was at Walmart earlier to get dog biscuits. Wasn't crazy at all. Only problem was I had to have someone get them off the top shelf for me lol. I do have to go back to the grocery store later. We need more rolls. Whoops

Went to Gloucester and Rockport today with DD, DS and DD's friend. Wonderful shopping on Bear Skin Neck. Usually the wind is ripping near the ocean but it was very calm today, nice since the temps are in the 30's. Bought an SS gift + a gift for me and a few things for DD and one for her friend, I love shopping with DS, he knows the "eye look" signal to usher the girls out of the store when I want to buy them something as a surprise. We also went to our favorite homemade candy house and spent a ton there for add ons to my charity gifts and such.

DS and I lived in Rockport for a few years, on the ocean. It holds very fond memories for us.

Not sure where to begin. This past year he has been such an azz, asking for extra time for different events, which I had no issue with, but then would not reciprocate.

He has been throwing the parenting plan in my face a lot. Sooo, I took a look at it, the way it is written is I have DD both holidays on the the odd years. Now, that is not what we have done in the past; whoever had her Christmas , the other had her Thanksgiving, makes sense, right? Well with all his crap this year, I wanted it in writing, as in an email, as an addendum to the plan that he has her Thanksgiving this year, I have her next year. He refused. And he tried to say that he is taking her Christmas, not Thanksgiving. Umm no.

Anyway, guess I have her both holidays this year. There is more BS conversations that have happened, long and short is he will not correct the parenting plan. Stupid, it would be to his advantage since when we now have to go to court he will be forced to pay more in CS plus all the medical he owes, those are things the court looks at every time you go to court.

 Well, the thing is, I will just go back to court to have that issue changed, so he won't have her both holidays next year.  Now it will cost him legal fees to go to court, will have to pay more is CS, pay me for his part of medical, all things he has refused. So he loses big time.  And all because he won't agree in a simple email that he has her for Thanksgiving this year.  Stupid.  GET IKWTDS is his mantra.

Cheesecake is done and in the fridge for tomorrow. I made the parchment circle a little bigger than needed in hopes I could ever so gently slide it off the bottom of my springform pan and it worked! It took a little bit to get it to move but it finally released. FIL will probably make a smart ass remark about the parchment paper still being under the cheesecake but I don't care. I wasn't risking the cheesecake breaking apart just to remove the parchment.

Cornbread is torn into pieces and ready for the stuffing. I decided I'll make the stuffing and biscuits in the morning. Stuffing needs to bake for an hour anyway and it will be easy to make the biscuits while the stuffing is cooking.
