It really is not tons, but I AM JUST NOT IN THE MOOD!

We are under a Winter Storm Warning and tons of snow coming down and wind and dropping temps. I really need a snow day or two and I *promise* to get those presents wrapped...yes I will

You're sending all that wind, ice and snow my way, aren't you.

I forced myself to wrap what gifts we do have this afternoon. Only four left to get done!

On Thursday, (after the storm passes that you are send me) DH and I will finish our shopping. Hope to be done with the job over the weekend.

Not a single card has been mailed yet. I am so behind on cards..

I have a solution for this.  Our church did it this year.  The Lottie Moon fund is in a serious deficit, so our church decided that we are not sending Christmas cards to each other and instead we are adding the cost of the cards and postage we are saving to our Lottie Moon offerings.  So, you could go on Facebook and announce that in lieu of Christmas cards this year, you will be donating money to Lottie Moon so that their missionaries can spread the word of Jesus to all the world.

Now that's a cool idea! Thanks, LL!

Our church has a missionary fund, I think I will donate that money to them. smile

Lottie Moon Fund is dear to my heart.  We give every year to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. They are really good in supporting their Missionaries.  My dd was one.  ETA:  I know a lot of other Mission Offerings do as well.  I just know more about this one.

DH and I wrapped all the gifts tonight. I didn't bake any treats. I think I'm going to go through the stocking stuffers tonight.

Our den looks like the Whoville post office with all the gifts piling up.

And the "Santa" gifts aren't in there yet.

It's crazy.

I have a small silk poinsettia wreath hanging on the wall in the living room.
Sushi the Destroyer does not want it there.
He'll either leap from the floor to try to knock it down, or go via the stairs and try to claw it off the wall.
It bugs him, for some reason.

Or, he's just a cat.

Doing what comes natural, to cats.wink

I've got six of them.

They will attack, the silliest things...over nothing. confuse

It's just what they do.smile

(And yes, it can drive me nuts. But, they are part of the family, so, I accept it.)

He doesn't want to play with it. He just smacks it off the wall.
All the other decorations don't bother him, the big bows, the hanging stars, the icicles...just this one thing.
He has issues with it.
Who knows what goes on in their little cat heads.

I wrapped a strand of lights around the deck railing a few weeks ago. Red, blue, green and yellow. The strand is those small lights, there's 15 different settings for whichever effect one wants. First the yellow lights stopped working. Now only two green lights work. It's so sad. Now I will need to go get new lights and pull down the old lights and put new ones up. Bah. Humbug!

I have more gifts to wrap tonight. chef gave me a yummy recipe to try so we're munching on that and watching the finale of Survivor. Then I'll wrap the few presents I have left. We don't have near as many presents as we normally do but we did high dollar items this year. And gift cards for the b/f. He couldn't decide what he wanted.

The storm last night blew all our outside lights off the house, and it's still to icy to fix them. By the time the snow clears I don't know if DH is going to want to put them back up just for a few days.

I can't wait to be done with wrapping. We're waiting on the rest of our order from Walmart's photo center to arrive. If I had known what a fubar'ed mess their photo center is, I wouldn't have bothered. I will be emailing a complaint once the order is safely in our hands. The part of the order that has arrived is done nicely, at least. The rest is supposed to be here by Saturday.

Oh my. IVY!

The poinsettia's blew out of the blue spruce last night. I'm not sure we will find all of them. The tree looks sad with only about half of it's red poinsettia's, but the lights work.

Maybe your DD's will talk him into putting the lights back up.

Thank you!  Merry Christmas Czech to you and your family (except Husker...lol!)  I absolutely love this time of year.  It's going to be the best Christmas EVER because my grandbaby is going to be here to share it with us!  I wish each and every one of you the happiest of holidays.  I really enjoy coming here and sometimes I don't participate in conversations but I'm a stalker... following you all!  aww

Thank you!  I've loved getting to know you too.  I really love cooking/baking.  All of it.  It's so fun to me.  I want to make cranberry pound cake.  And baklava.  I don't know why.  DH calls it experimenting.  I call it having fun.  If I get time I'll make banana bread for all my neighbors.

I love that about you.  You've inspired me to do more.  In my own way of course because i don't bake.  lol.  But with my own neighbors... I am going to be gold this Christmas season.  I've got gifts.. for my neighbors from the most irritating critter around.  Kiddie Rock will be out delivering gifts on Xmas Eve!  aww

She's due on Dec 21 but if baby doesn't come they will induce labor because she has gestational diabetes and they won't let it go past the due date.  So I will be an official grandma by Dec 25th!

Awww! I hope her labor/delivery is smooth and uneventful and that she has a healthy baby. You're going to have so much fun snuggling that precious newborn!

I have to say I love December babies. But DS is a December baby so I'm biased wink
