Family friend shoots and kills 7 year old girl at soccer practice. With a legal gun.

TAYLOR, Mich. -
A 7-year-old girl has died after she and her mother were shot by a man considered to be their friend Thursday evening outside the Taylor Sportsplex.

The 37-year-old mother and girl were taken to the hospital where they were both listed in critical condition. Emma Watson-Nowling died from her injuries late Thursday night. Her mother, Sharon Watson, remains hospitalized. Taylor Police Chief Mary Sclabassi said the woman is expected to recover.

"She remains in serious but stable condition," said Sclabassi, who was tearful during a news conference Friday afternoon.

The only law that might have had a chance to prevent this is one that ...

 

requires all competent adults to carry guns.

 

Then maybe the mom would have been able to defend herself and her child.

have in-laws that are israeli--the real deal, in haifa and tel aviv--they have compulsory military service there for all their young people--two years i believe--the majority of their population are trained to defend themselves with firearms or otherwise--their incidents of domestic, local violence are among the lowest in the world--though you'd never get the libs to go for it, wish we might take a lesson from the israelis--it works and has worked for them for over sixty years

Yep.

I think everyone should at least be required to take a gun safety course and learn to fire a weapon. They don't have own a gun.

Teach it in school again.
