I just threw up in my mouth a little...

Only you know whether you are a boy or a girl. No one can tell you.”

The Gender Fairy is a simple story about two children who find relief in finally being heard. It is a tale of two children who are taking their first joyful steps toward living as their true selves. It is an educational resource for all children and adults to understand what it might feel like to be a transgender child.

For children aged four and up, The Gender Fairy is designed to be read aloud in the classroom or at home. It includes notes for parents and teachers to aid discussion and learning, completed in collaboration with Roz Ward (La Trobe University).

So it's ok for a school to teach young kids about sexuality but not for one student to include a pic of his stillborn brother in a project that is about him. Alrighty then!

I'm not kidding when I say the schools are brainwashing our kids.

If I had a child entering elementary school now, they would either be in a private school or home schooled.

I am so glad that my kids are done with public school after the next school year.

But if only you know your gender, why is there a fairy involved? Does this not seem totally creepy???

Is this supposed to be helping kids or confusing them or what?? Not sure if young kids are that worried about what gender they are; what happened to childhood? Should at least wait until puberty or thereabout, I think.... But I hear puberty is coming earlier and earlier. Wonder what the reason is for that....

I'm not worried. I'm pretty sure even my 7 year old would think this is ridiculous.

I cannot believe some people here...though I shouldn't be surprised.

The book...likely stupid (I didn't click the link). The issue itself? Just be thankful it's not YOUR child.

I understand that it's likely a result of better nutrition, and residual hormones in the food supply from hormones given to farm animals (including chickens) to speed their growth.

Some public schools teach that Evolution is a myth, and Creation is science.

Many public schools are now teaching that 5 times 3 is different that 3 times 5.

There is no end to stupidity.

Why should gender be different?

By the way, about 15 years ago I read that "premature pubescence" is when a girl gets her first period before the age of ...

are you sitting down?

age seven.

So age seven is normal, age six is too early.

Hmmm.

I've read that too, ed, and also more sexually explicit TV shows.

Libs live in fantasy land. And, they think that by merely speaking as they wish things were, that somehow that makes it so. Kind of like God speaking the worlds into existence is how they fancy themselves, lol. But, there is this pesky thing called Reality that keeps smacking them upside the head. Kind of like how Obama wants to pretend Isis doens't exist and as the bodies pile up, it distracts him temporarily from his golf game and NCAA brackets.

That is not what that wiki article says.  It says the schools require critical analysis of the evolutionary THEORY including evidence for and against.

It's not my child and never would have been.  When talking about children this young--it's the nutty parents who create the situation by their PC bullsh!t nonsense.
