GB.jpgLOL!
When DD was little, she was a HUGE Garth Brooks fan. We had a video of one of his concerts and that's all she would watch. Well, a friend of a friend found out that he was going to make a surprise appearance at the Grand Ole Opry and we got front row tickets. There was a homeless person outside selling roses and I bought one for the heck of it.

When he came out on stage, she went CRAZY. Clapping and laughing and waving and blowing kisses. About halfway through the first song, he threw his guitar over his shoulder, took the mike from the stand, and said, come here little lady. He picked her up and she gave him the rose.

I didn't bring a camera, but someone came over to me after the show was over and said they had gotten a picture. That they would develop and send it to me. about two weeks later, I got this in the mail...

I've been to several concerts, from bar rooms to arenas.

The best concerts were in a field.

Concerts in the Country. A place in Calhoun and another in Lanier.

Saw Sawyer Brown at least a Dozen times. Joe Diffy, Ricky Skaggs and so many more.

You literally parked in a cow field and walked to the barn. Shavings on a dirt floor, hay bales for seats.

Best concert experiences ever.

Oh four that is so sweet of him, what a wonderful memory for your daughter. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if that was one of his favorite memories of performing in concerts. Lily That sounds like fun to sit in a field and listen to music.

Graham Nash was amazing, as was Walk Off the Earth.

I've heard Jimmy Buffet. He was in PCB playing at a dive bar. I was 16 so couldn't go in. But I could hear him on the beach outside.

I went to a Jimmy Buffett show back in my teens. It was a lot of fun.

Whoa! I was laying down on a lounge chair by the beach, sat up & got so dizzy.

Back in the A/C for a bit.

Cool shower helped.

I've been dizzy most of this afternoon. I'm wondering if I'm getting an inner ear infection.

Hope you feel better, flan.

I go to a LOT of concerts.

I think the best concerts I've been to were Johnny Clegg and Joe Bonamassa.

Hmm this thread went from meatballs to crotch slapping pretty quickly.

The drone I bought for DD arrived today. She is with her father this w/e so I may test it out!

Since the remote still works, I really don't. Yes, I would like a new one, but this one works perfectly fine. I will continue to watch Netflix on my iPad.

If you are searching for a Christmas movie on the hallmark channel and come across "the Christmas blessing" Don't watch it. Very depressing.
