Isn't it interesting how the insults start from the Christphobic people?

There is no reason to come here. There is no mosque. The one that did live here turned out to be a terrorist, so people are wary. And its completely unlikely that they would be hired as teachers. One day, some may want to come, and we will deal with that if it happens. Its not a concern now.
You know the FIRST question asked when you meet someone new? Where do you go to church...

And it they say "I don't go to church? I'm Muslim/Jewish/Buddhist/Atheist?"

Then they get a "oh. Ok." And that's it.

Believe it or not, it isnt the Christians wanting to take away religious freedom.

Pretty much what Lily said. But the question would still be asked. I only know a handful of people that live here that aren't members somewhere. Now, my worldwide friends, most of them aren't Christians.

And, if one of those "handful of people" decided to lead the school in Islamic/Satanic/Buddhist prayer, you'd be fine with it?

This is such a big world, it's senseless to only expose them to people exactly like themselves. I wouldn't want to live somewhere like you describe, but I am glad you like it.

Oh, and the only time it was ever an issue that my DD was an atheist was at a sleep over when she was 12 and the mother informed my DD that she was going to hell for not being baptized. How very sweet of her to tell a 12 year old that her sould would burn in hell for all eternity. Seems to me she could have used the opportunity to talk about Jesus' love for her, but NOOOOO! Better to scare the crap out of a child. Needless to say, I wasnt pleased.

Pride is irrelevant and has nothing to do with anything. I stated a fact. I wanted to raise my children in a Christian community.  One with family values and great schools. They are world travelers, thanks to my husbands occupation,  so they have experienced much more than most kids have...

I'm not O4 but I would be respectful and I can pray to God for each and every one of those misguided souls quietly.

Again.

Christians are not the ones trying to take away religious freedom.

Misguided souls? Yu don't think that's a wee bit arrogant?

I'm sure Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, atheists, et al, think you're a misguided soul.

Try a little harder. You might squeeze out a real problem with what I said.

You still haven't answered the question. How would you feel if an Satanist/Muslim/ Hindu/ Buddhist led the school in prayer.

Please don't avoid or skirt around the question with "that would never happen here"

Oh good grief.

Your question was answered.

Now you want to get bent out of shape because it wasn't the answer you thought you would get.

Time to face facts.

Christians are not trying to take away freedom of religion.

No, my question was not answered....it was avoided.

And I'm not bent out of shape because I dare to have an opinion or ask a question.

I reserve being bent out of shape for more important concerns, like car accidents, illness, or running out of cheese.

 Yes. It was answered.

By both O4 and myself.

You just didn't like O4's answer and substituted your own.

You don't seem to understand freedom of religion.

It means, in America, you have a government protected right to practice your religion. Regardless of what religion that is.

The problems that have been seen are not those trying to stop a Budist from practicing their religion. No one is stopping the Muslims, Hindus, Jewish, Satanic or the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

The only one being told not to pray in public, speak in public, being ridiculed or in every other way hindered is the Christian Faith.

Why do you think that is?

I have a theory about that, Oh4.

Animals, weren't born with souls. So, they don't go to heaven. That's what I was taught.

But, with God, all things are possible.

If, you had a loved pet, and after you died, and went to heaven....wouldn't it be possible, that God would reunite you?

I'd like to think it is possible.smile

They are not souls in need of redemption like human beings.
Animals cannot sin but they have a spirit so i believe they will be in Heaven in a Glorified form.
