Yes.

If that is what it takes.

I have to wonder if the teacher or another student had seen or heard something about this girl.

Who knows what she had said or doodled or her overall attitude.

Oh my gosh, really?

This was a 12 year old girl, who got singled out by a teacher, because she was wearing a head scarf!

She's 12. Her family has lived here for years.

Do you(general) really think she is a threat?

And that's EXACTLY how we got the San Bernadino incident. People kept their trap shut.

San Bernadino was a bomb in a school placed by a 12 year old girl?

Yes. And those who are born and raised here can become radicals.

Anyone, can go off the rails, Lily.

Adam Lanza, ring a bell?

He was American. And, he was sick...and killed, a lot of innocent children.

To single out this young lady, because of how she was dressed, was just wrong, IMHO.

???? We aren't talking about people "going off the rails".

But yeah, some nut job could--however, we are in a fight against Muslim terrorists.  We CAN start to be less PC about that and do some profiling.

Listen husker.....no 12 year old girl, has ever shot up a school.

Or bombed, a school.

Not in the USA, that I ever heard of.

I AM ALL ABOUT PROFILING!

In airports, stadiums, large venues!

Don't pick on a 12 year old girl, for goodness sake.

And a couple of young guys had never bombed a marathon, either--until they did.

That's not what anyone says to me whenever I suggest a 7 year old could go to the park and play by themselves.

Ok. Let's look at this another way.

Say this teacher had suspicions but didn't ask questions.

Say this 12 yr old did have a bomb and it did go off in the cafeteria during lunch killing dozens injuring dozens more.

What then?

I seem to remember a big fuss about a clock in a brief case being just a clock in a brief case.

Until it was investigated and discovered the ties that family had.

I'm sorry if making a 12 yr old uncomfortable for a few days hurts some people's sensitivities. But I'd rather be proactive than reactive.

It depends on the maturity of the child as well as the safety of the neighborhood.

That's just a dumb comment.  Asking what's in a back pack isn't going to kill anyone.  More over dramatic PC nonsense.

I think it's possible, to be both, flan.

But, it's important, to pick who you are going to be cautious, and paranoid, about.

And where.

I think this 12 year old, got picked  on, because of her dress.

JMHO.

Because of her dress.

You know how many kids are singled out at school because of how they are dressed?

This wasn't about, the company, she kept. She was hanging out with a bunch of American kids...in an American school.

This was about, wearing a head scarf.

And, being the only 12 year old, asked, if she had a bomb in her backpack. cry

On one hand you say you are all for profiling.

But then you turn around and say, no, don't profile.

Yes. This was a 12 year old girl.

If she had left a bomb in the school, the first thing asked would be why no one said anything.

Oh my gosh, why would anyone think a 12 year old girl, would bring a bomb into school?

Any more, than a Black kid. Or a Hispanic? Or an Asian?

She got called out, because she was wearing a head scarf.

Profiling, has it's place. I believe that.

Should some dumb ass teacher, pick on a 12 year old child? Ask her, if she is carrying a bomb, because she's wearing a head scarf?

Really??

I don't know FWM. Why would anyone think a couple guys at a marathon would have exploding pressure cookers in back packs?

Why would anyone have thought anyone would do anything?

In this day and time, why is it so hard to grasp that each and every one of the people blowing things up and shooting up places were 12 at one time?

A 15 yr old beheaded a cop in the street. Wonder how many thought that would ever happen?

This is the world we live in now.

I know we want to believe it's still Mayberry at our schools. But the facts say otherwise.
