I'm making some good progress. My mom has decided she's having a yard sale in the spring. So I've started taking stuff to the garage for her to sell. I don't want it. I want it out of my area. I also filed about 2 years worth of mail. I should probably keep up on that better. I have just been shoving a bunch of stuff in my bedroom or Corgi's room to get it out of the main living area. Those will be projects for another day.
Dad decided he wants take-out Chinese for dinner, we are celebrating his birthday tonight since he'll be traveling this week.

Just talked to DS, confirmed he knows you know what he is getting. I think the element of you in the mix makes it really exciting or somewhat exciting. In that there are others "in" on his gift. It's the best i have to offer since he lives so far away.

Isn't it though? DS knows of the GT but I don't let him in. And has had help from a couple of geeks, DV being his age group is the best! I hope they meet some day and not hate each other. That would be quite the conundrum here.

I really like Walking Dead. I do understand it's not for everyone though.
Just made three dozen sugar cookies and have the stuff for three dozen more.

Who is DV?
I agree, that would be a bit difficult.

Snickerdoodles are delicious. I've never made them though. I think they are pretty easy to make. I let the kids help make the sugar cookies. DH will help do the dog biscuits. I hope I have time to do the cranberry cake. I'm definitely going to make baklava though.
I need to make all my neighbors banana bread. I have a bunch of bananas frozen.

I bet they would be great friends. DG is a sweetheart.
Yep!
Aw shucks. I can't wait to meet him. We message here and there. Seems like a nice guy, his mother must have done something right
He is nice! A bit intense sometimes, but you have to laugh that off. I think that comes from 8 years of seeing awful stuff in the military. And he owns property and has a good job. Just saying...

That's fun too! DD and I are going to do that next weekend.
We will decorate either this week or maybe Friday. We're getting SS Friday to Sunday because his mom needs a sitter. He gets out at 1:30. I got some colored frosting but it uber runny. I'm going to have to buy some more. I need to make dog treats too. I am so lucky because DH will stick his hands in there and knead everything so I don't get it all up under my nails. I roll and cut out and he transfers to the pan and bakes. We make a great team!

Bizcochito or biscochito is a crisp lard- or butter-based cookie, flavored with cinnamon[2] and anise.[3] The name is a Spanish diminutive form of bizcocho. It is a variation on the traditional Mexican wedding cookie.
The cookie was developed by residents of New Mexico[4] over the centuries from the first Spanish colonists[5] of what was then known as Santa Fe de Nuevo México. The recipe for making the cookie has been greatly influenced not only by local and indigenous customs but also by recipes brought to New Mexico by immigrants from other Hispanic countries.
Bizcochitos are served during special celebrations, such as wedding receptions, baptisms, and religious holidays (especially during the Christmas season).[2][6] It is commonly served along with hot chocolate.[6] The cookie is seldom known outside the boundaries of the original Spanish province, although Spanish speakers may recognize the association with bizcocho, from the name, and may have some idea of what they must be, even if they have not encountered them before.
In 1989, the U.S. State of New Mexico made the biscochito its official state cookie.[6][3] This act made New Mexico the first U.S. state to have an official state cookie.[3][7] It was chosen to help maintain traditional home-baked cookery.
They are traditionally cut into the shape of a Poinsettia. There is an old fable that when the children were going to see Jesus in the manager the poorest of the children picked some green fronds off the side of the road because he had nothing else to give. When he laid the fronds at the manager they blossomed and became Poinsettia.
