I'm continuing my cleaning today. I found a bag of random crap that was obviously from a clean out of a car. Amount other things I found a pack of cigarettes left by my ex. I know just the place for those. The trash!

Back from Sam's. My children are NOT getting a single piece of candy in their stockings. Insane kids. My SS has his peanut butter chocolate Santa from last year. He told DH he was going to wrap it up and give it to me as a gift. I told DH to tell him I'd gladly take it and be happy. Even if I didn't eat it.

How long does it take Amazon to process a payment?

I placed an order last Wednesday and I got a confirmation. But it hasn't been taken from my account.

I ordered something this morning. It's already showing on my credit card.

Did it ship yet, Lily? They might not take it until it ships.

If something is on back order or out of stock they won't charge until they get it and it sends.

Well the ex called DD back and she gave him some really good advice. I don't think he will listen but she is right. His dad is in an institution and will be charged with a double murder when/if he can stand trial. His mother has been pretty useless his whole life. And now, in the midst of all this, his sister (20 years old and no job, no education) found out she is pregnant. DD told him to move to Chicago (2states away) and live with his uncle and rebuild his life. He really should. But he won't.

Oh any my interview went very well. Not sure if they want me though. But, sigh, the 15 commute I would just swoon over. Yes, swoon.

IKWTDS are you sure it isn't allergies? It's been so warm here everything is blooming that shouldn't be blooming. I've been stuffy and drippy for three weeks now. Coughing my fool head off too.

 Fingers crossed for you.

Before I got hired full time at my plant, I was exploring my job options. I was so spoiled with my 10 minute drive, it was hard to expand my search area. Luckily, they decided they couldn't live without me, so I still have my short drive. My combined commute for the whole week is less than 1 day used to be at my last job.

Coworker #1: three day work week next week!
Me: at least here. I'm sure my mom has plenty for me to do. We are hosting family Christmas and she's been a little, um...
Coworker #2: panicky?
Me: I was going to go with crazy, but yeah, panicky works.

We are hoping to have Christmas eve off. Admin says wait and see if any docs want to do surgery. So far no one has booked a case. I'd like to see admin work a full day on the 24th since they think we should. They probably won't even work Wednesday.

DH is frying two turkey's. I'm making SS his favorite. Green bean casserole. I'll make a loaf of bread, some dressing, open a can of corn, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and then dessert. I will make peppermint cheesecake and pecan pie and pumpkin pie for dessert. No special dishes.

New Years is nothing but football here, so chips and dips work great. No other food, just junk.

Soup works great on NYD.

DH won't stop buying me Christmas presents! Every time I turn around he's bought another thing. The kids are going to be watching me open gifts for hours.

I don't know what we are doing this year. Mom said she would do it all.

Ham will be involved.

I'd rather be on call over New Years, than over Christmas.

Do you have Christmas weekend off?

Yea. It's crazy. It's not bad yet, and apparently wont be till afternoon tomorrow. They are worried about it coming in quick and being dangerous to get kids home tomorrow after school.

Yesterday DD and I made chocolate dipped peanut butter balls, and three pans of walnut fudge and one pan of peanut better fudge. Dipped some pretzels. and tonight I may be making that toffee you make with the base saltine crackers, it is wonderful and so easy.

BUT I also want to make some time to just sit and watch some mindless TV

I will be PMing you my address!!  All of those sound delicious except the walnut fudge.  I love almost all nuts except walnuts.
