Got all our shopping done yesterday!  Although DH says he still wants to buy me stuff.  I don't know why.  He's bought me a ton of stuff already.

That snow and other stuff is BEAUTIFUL NAOW.  Gorgeous.

I'm going to stay home today and try to get gifts wrapped and under the tree before we get SS on Friday.  I also want to make some cranberry bread today.  I managed to get five dozen pumpkin peanut butter dog biscuits made last night.

Gotta love clients that stop by without an appointment and are annoyed that you have no idea why they are there.

So it turns out my shortness of breath, pain in my chest, lack of energy, and nasty rash are all bronchitis. The doctor gave me steroids, antibiotics, an inhaler, and an expectorant, and a lecture of waiting two weeks to get it checked out.

I never did that with my kids but there were many days when I worked that I would be so exhausted I'd lay down for a few minutes.  I'd fall asleep and wake in a start thinking I was late to work.

Wait until you get the pathetic, "Grandma, you forgot me!", when you're late picking them up off the bus. no

DGD, age 4 at the time, said that to me. I was only a few minutes late! She was fine, staff stayed with her until I got there. She is such a drama queen. But she sure milked it.

One of my aunts on my mom's side died last night. I didn't know her all that well but am sure I've met her. That half of the family is worried that her son will kill himself when he finds out about her death. His dad hasn't been able to get ahold of him.

DS is watching Home Alone 2. He is totally enraptured by that movie and it's a quick way to settle him down. I love the movie myself so I don't mind watching it a few times a week. DH has long been sick of it.

DS is going to his great grandma's for a couple days. She's picking him up tomorrow. The books we bought for DS have sprouted legs and walked off and it will be easier to look for them without little hands running off with stuff. I also need to wrap the last of the gifts. They arrived today, are fragile, and I don't want "help" wrapping them. I'm pissed about the books though. I know they're in here somewhere. We have an apartment so it's not like there's a ton of places for them to hide.

I was so accustomed to rocking the stroller to soothe the baby, that I'd often find myself rocking a grocery cart full of food.

Wow snow! I think it was me last year posting pics of it here at this time. Glad it isn't here, it's been 50's and 60's for weeks. It will start getting colder this w/e though.

Dona, 2 weeks is the time frame that most people wait to see the Doc, I am surprised he lectured you. DD and I are still nursing out colds, they get a tiny bit better every day.

Naturally, it shouldn't be advanced spelunking, but for novices? Seems safe enough to me. Extra caution should be taken with slippery, wet surfaces, so appropriate shoes are in order.

I think you put this in the wrong place.

She was supposed to be on bed rest.

Back from lunch. DH is napping. I got to talk to Itty bitty, who kept insisting that I was at work, not Hawaii. She had a giggle fit talking about it.

They are like cheese puffs but round. In a ball shape. They're really delicious floating on a bowl of tomato soup.
