He isn't the one writing to an advice column seeking validation to kill the baby that could have been 100% preventable.
Yes. He is in the wrong too.

I agree with the clarified idea of what Divine Geek said: "a person shouldn't be having careless unprotected sex with someone that they aren't willing to marry or raise a child with".
In a perfect world sex wouldn't happen until at least after the engagement, but we all know we don't live in a perfect world.
Methinks the lady wants a baby. Deep down inside, she planned this.
Like a woman who tells her companion that she's got her period and can't get pregnant today ... when her last period started two weeks ago, so she's most likely spotting during ovulation.
For one thing, your analogy makes no sense. I don't track my cycle, and I can't always tell the difference between heavy spotting and a light period, so a woman telling her partner she is on her period when she thinks she is does not seem at all dishonest to me.
For another, if she is having baby fever, why oh why would she get an abortion?
A person shouldn't be having sex unless you are already married to each other.
But in this instant gratification world we are living in, that ain't gonna happen very often.
So premarital sex has ONLY existed for what...20 or 30 years?!
flan
So, then that's a calculated risk. If you have sex, you might get pregnant. IN times past, women would then realize their child was not to blame and not to be killed for that decision. They would have their babies and raise and love them.

And in the past, people would suck it up and get married because of the child they created. It wasn't all about ME, ME, ME.

Oh, please, abortion has been around since the dawn of time.

I don't think they were aborting 55 million babies with a stick.

Wire hangars were more popular.
Midwives did more than deliver babies. At age 5, my aunt came home from school early one day and saw her mother on the kitchen table, with the local midwife ending a pregnancy.
That was around 1920.

Yes. There have always been sick, sadistic people who kill babies.

A friend of mine who is in her 90's, was pregnant with her husband's child. Unbeknownst at the time, her husband was having an affair with her cousin. Her MIL wanted to give her an abortion with a coat hanger. She refused.
But i will never understand not wanting your own child.
Yet you have ZERO problem judging another woman for her feelings?
flan
Please. People do that all the time. You do it.
Why, yes, I do judge bigots & people who try to control others with religion...
flan
And I judge women who think it's perfectly fine to rip apart babies and I judge religious bigots and I judge trashy women who slut around with no care to the consequences.

And, FTR, in my case, I did know what the consequences were and cared about them.
flan
What are you talking about? Did you sleep with a guy you barely know without proper birth control and then kill a baby rather than face the consequences of your actions?
