I'm up! House cleaner coming so I have been neatening things up. I have to change my bandages this morning. I had two knife accidents yesterday. They still somewhat hurt. I need DD's help.

The worst part of today is I have to go back to work tomorrow. Trying not to think of it. :(

Nurse called this morning. Dad didn't sleep much last night, but he's doing ok. She said he's a little cranky, probably from not sleeping.....or that's just his normal personality. Mom is getting ready to go over this morning, visiting hours start at 10. I'm going to church and I'll go over this afternoon.

Slept pretty well last night. I'm pre-emptively taking the Robitussen a little more frequently than the package instructions say to.

I LIKE breathing.

Yep, it was stupid but I didn't post because a knife/kitchen accident brought on by stupidity paled into comparison to what the other Geeks were going through.

If the Robitussen isn't doing the job, maybe you could give it a try.

Morning.

Eyes popped open at 8 am. I might regret that later but for now, I'm good.

Need the boys to get moving, church this morning, lunch later.

Jesse has a date. A Sunday afternoon date. Those were always the best dates to me.

Dad's trying to quietly make breakfast. Only thing is, it isnt so quiet. He's so funny.

DG, thanks for the update on your dad. He is going to feel so much now. He just needs to get home and in his own bed to rest. That makes everyone better.

IKWTDS, you and sharp objects. Hope you heal quickly.

Peaceful Sunday to all.

Glad to hear your dad is doing well DG!

Ed, for easier breathing at night, we swear by Eucalyptus oil. You can order it on amazon or ask at your local pharmacy and they will order for you if you can't find it. No prescription needed of course. You just take a rag and pour a small amount on the rag and put it on your headboard or your nightstand and it really does work.

Sending healing vibes all around. I may end up at urgent care myself. Las Vegas has very dry air. Which caused my sinuses to wreck havoc. And I think I have a sinus infection now. Am holding out for it to clear up on its own but may want help later.

You can't breathe because you're coughing so much? I'm telling you, ask your doc for a script for something with codeine.

It's the best cough suppressant. Too bad I can't send you some.....you don't need a prescription for codeine where I live.

It would be seized at the border.

Those pesky charities.  Much better to watch all the political commercials, or companies hawking their crap.

I agree with that.  It gets old, and demeaning watching people try to get into your pockets by attempting to pull at your heart strings.

I rarely see commercials. I don't have cable. I watch Netflix and Amazon Prime. The only time I see commercials is when I use Sling.

I find it ironic that there is a commercial showing malnourished children on a cooking show. And I have no idea how much $$$ actually gets to those who need it.

Do you have cable, flan?

If I want to watch a show, I pause it at the beginning, and wait about 20 minutes, for an hour long show.

Then, I can fast forward through all the commercials.

Just an idea.smile

You are so right Flan. We are always seeing those reports about how little of the donated funds get to where they are supposed to. That said, my sister works for an organization that helps people (especially young, school-aged girls) in poor countries. Of anyone is looking for an honest organization to support

I mute the commercials. I now hate Sarah McLachlan

I don't blame Sarah. Apparently she feels strongly about whats he's doing. And neither of the commercials I watched featured her. Lori Loughlin was in one.

It's the first of the year, all the commercials for tax deductible donations are over and so are retail commercials so most of the time is discounted making it more affordable for these charities, the media struggles for ad revenue in the beginning of the year. Susan Koman for the Cure and others with deep pockets can afford commercials during the peak price season, others can't. You people should count your luck stars that you are not inundated with the political commercials I am.

Dad is finally napping. He's been very achey and unable to really rest. He fell asleep with his head at the foot of the bed and his feet hanging over the side. But he was snoring. And of course right then is when I needed to cough. I hightailed it to the waiting room to not wake him. I passed the nurse, he said they were ordering him some Tylenol, hoping that will help. I've really liked his nurses, they have been great. And this one is a cutie
