Actually he's just the same as Obama.  Just in the different direction.  Let me explain.  When I got divorced I left an idiot husband.  Undependable, untrustworthy, and many things.  I lived in a constant state of panic I guess.  (It's early so I can't really come up with the right word.)  Then I started dating this guy.  He was super ultra dependable.  You could set  a clock by him.  He was predictable.  I loved it.  Until, after awhile, I realized that he was just as controlling and that much of a jerk as my ex just with different rules.  Moral of the story, in a knee jerk reaction to something you hate be careful not to replace it with the same thing.

DS has one.  DH needs to MAKE one.  And then late last night we got into it because he wanted to take pain pills because he was "anticipating" pain.  I wanted to kill him.

Happy New Year to All!

I had a great holiday in Michigan. Gordito loved every minute of it. Watching a toddler in the snow for the first time is hysterical.

Have I missed anything exciting?

Attached is our family portrait we had done over the holiday and Gordit's Santa pic.

Love the photos!  You should take Gordito to Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear some time! He'd love it!  Or even Baldy!

We've been thinking about it.  Yesterday we took the Subway from Universal to Union station and he was so excited to be on a train.  Luckily for him he was easily distracted with a Churro from Olvera street.

You're bringing back memories!   My co-workers  & I used to blow off work and go there on Cinco de Mayo.  Drink margaritas and listen to the mariachis.   Fun times.

My grandparents had a place in Big Bear when I was growing up, before it became so populated.   After they died, my parents used their inheritance to buy a place in Arrowhead.  I liked Arrowhead better because it was closer and had that cute village for shopping, and the ice skating rink.

Happy birthday Lily's dad!

Fluffy got out of her cage. Not sure how yet, but probably unlatched the gate and squeezed through. I have a paperclip through it to secure it, but the clip wasn't tight enough I suspect. Anyway, she was in the shower waiting for me to put her back, then screamed at me when I picked her up. Beotch.

As #1 says, normal is boring. But it's back to work and school, so back to routine.

No, the plan is to have as many seats in the venue he is speaking at be empty, and have a rocking party/fundraiser for Bernie elsewhere.

He needs to campaign to the undecided voters, not the staunch supporters of another party/candidate.

Here, if the audience isn't empty he is liable to be booed off stage.

If you have to buy tickets to make the venue empty, haven't you just disproved your point about him having no supporters?

Dad is still "incarcerated" as he calls it. Not sure what made them keep him, but he'll be here until at least tomorrow now. He is looking much better today. When I came in after work he asked where I had been - tone joking that I was off slacking off somewhere. It's what he's been saying every day for the last two weeks since he's been off work and I haven't. I take that as a good sign.

In other news, rumor is we are all going to be forced to take a week off each quarter - whether or not we have vacation to use. From what I've heard, they are going to shut down for a week as a cost savings measure. I'm not worried about the week off. I have 3 weeks of vacation and nearly a year of expenses in savings. I'm worried about the vacation I'm planning in March. I've been planning and saving for this vacation for over a year. My boss (the president) already approved my vacation time. I need to talk to him tomorrow to see what is up. Better to get my info from the top rather than listening to rumors.

They are keeping him one more night either as a precaution or to milk the insurance.

I am fed up.  I told DH not to take too many pain pills.  I told him they'd constipate him.  Well, now he hasn't pooped in three days.  I told him not to take them too often or they'd make him sick.  So now his acid reflux is acting up.  I told him not to take the pain pills on an empty stomach or they would make him sick.  So now he's nauseated.  We go to the doctor and he tells the doctor all the things that are bothering him and what does the doctor say?  The same freaking thing I said!  So I say, I'm an RN I TOLD you all that.  Then the doctor turns to me and says, "You really need to have a little more compassion for him."  WTF?  The doctor offered to give him a shot in the hip of pain medicine but DH refused because he'd "rather have it in the vein so it could work faster".  Okay, nope, he's not overdoing the meds or anything.

And our Obamacare is refusing to pay for all of this.

We need prices to go up. We are selling our product at less than half the price we were this time last year. Our sales volumn is steady, we just can't get the price we want right now.  This happens every few years.  We just have to hold on and make sure to conserve money where we can. The company actually isn't losing money, so we are in a good place to outlast our competition. Just not sure how long that will take.

Good! Sales volume is key, now it is time for the company to buy a competitor.  Gosh, I sometime wish I was back there in that part of the business world.

That might be a good thing, my friend.

Ignore him for a little while.

See if he wises up any, before you talk to him.

Just an idea.

Hugs to you!

Well, we've been home an hour and a half now.  He's take three pain pills and three full doses of Milk of Mag.  I will let him figure this one out himself.
