I have to go to work tomorrow.  Because I'm a nice person.  I hate my job but have guilt about calling in sick when I'm not actually deathly ill.  This sinus thing just won't go away though.  It won't run it's course!  I thought it was done and then I went back to work and after one day felt like my face was going to fall off.  I was wondering if I was allergic to something at work, but took today as a sick day and it's not better.

bleh  I love my work, but I hate my job.

I won't call off work unless I'm deathly ill either. If I'm contagious, I do call out regardless of how I feel. Once, I was very sick and my boss insisted I wasn't that bad and could come in. So I did. Ended up vomiting on the office counter and his shoes (not on purpose). He said "guess you weren't kidding, go home and get better" and shooed me out the door. From that point on, he never questioned me when I told him I was sick.

LOL My DH told me that the maid service here is horrendous. I told him he could always recover somewhere else.

It does sound like allergies, Tig. Maybe mold or dust mites?

Morning all. One of my co-workers retired. Effective 1/1/16. She didn't tell anyone, just vanished without a goodbye. She left a Christmas card and a pretty ornament on my desk while I was on vacay. I guess that was her way of saying goodbye. I'm sad, but happy for her.

I'm guessing either she had reached her limit, or she was shy & didn't want people to make a fuss.

I think she didn't want to make a fuss. She always said she would leave quietly, and so she did.

Happy Anniversary, flan! Glad you got a night out to celebrate.

Hope you both feel better soon, Tig and flan.

Good morning, FWM, FNW, Lily, NJN, Trudy, TD and chef!

A bit icy here this morning. Fog and a misty rain overnight made stepping on the deck an adventure.

Today is our last decent day for awhile. I think the high will be in the 30's yet today. Friday mornings temp is suppose to be -7. Oh, fun..

Still do not have the quilt finished. Had to rip again this morning, then sewed the whole edge on without thread on the bobbin..

It's back in the timeout corner.

Need more coffee..

Poor quilt is right, since I have to take it to the professional quilter tomorrow. It's big enough that I can't finish it on my machine. I may have to cancel until next week at this rate. Darmit!!

Another pot of coffee brewing..

Foul mood here.. evileye

Rainy day today. There's reports that the next city over is getting hail and heavy rain. I'll take the heavy rain. They can keep the hail.

LOL, you hit it right on the button. I did finish one boarder, after three more resets..

Started the LAST boarder!! It's going to give me fits as well. evileye

Frequent breaks are needed to keep me from stashing it somewhere out of sight for a day or two..

That highway is usually jam-packed. This was taken after a storm on New Year's day.

Traffic was nonexistent because people hadn't shovelled their cars out yet.

The picture was sent in to our news show by Transport Quebec and has gone viral.

What a spectacular shot of a snowy owl.

That's an awesome picture.

We have 2 owls in our area.

Czech, do you have a big quilting loom? Quilting fascinates me.

Still looks like it might snow. But it wont. Too dry. Fine with me.

No, I don't have a quilting long arm and roller table. I couldn't afford something that pricy. A used roller table is worth over a $1000.00. A used mid-arm machine is about 2 1/2 to 3 thousand. A bit out of my price range, lol. I would never make enough quilts to justify buying something that expensive.

It will cost me $55.00 to get this quilt professionally quilted. I can live with that.

Smaller quilts, I can do on my machine. But this one of dad's, is to big for my machine to handle properly and do the quilt justice.

The last boarder is giving me fits as I knew it would..

LOL! Personally, I think my dad is purposely messing with the quilt made from HIS shirts! LOL

All of us girls, have had "problems". Missing blocks, missing boarder pieces, crazy math problems, lost items for our craft, etc. Yeah, I think dad is having a good time messing with us. wink

Anyway, that's what we keep telling ourselves, because, you know, it can't be us. biggrin

At least I think it's still there.
