Others agree with me so why are the ones who agree with you right? I think you try way too hard to make out you don't drink too much. Good luck with that because it just makes you look like a drunk.
Even using the approved medical definition it is only ONE of like 10 factors, so by itself, it is not defining. Using your absurd definition, everyone in France and Italy must be alcoholic since most of them have wine with dinner.

Well, I could agree with you--but then we'd both be wrong.
Heck, read e link provided by honeys mom. It is from a clean and sober resource website.
The question directly asked is whether one is an alcoholic if they drink every day. The answer given by a clean and sober website is "not necessarily".

A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
For why you drink too much. Every thread about alcohol you get like this so there is a reason. Maybe way in the back of your mind you know you have a problem but you're not ready to admit it yet. That's ok. It doesn't affect me either way.

???? And how much is that?
Again, read the literature on the subject. Even using their definitions you are wrong.

Not necessarily a raging alcoholic, but if you can't go a single day without drinking, there's definitely a problem.
Just because you SAY you're right, doesn't make you right, despite your signature.
Why are you so vociferous in defending daily drinking? Is there something you would like to share with the class?
Well, then i guess you have to say the same thing about people taking their daily prescription meds because there are a hell of a lot of people taking xanax, and all kinds of pills on a daily basis.

I'm going by the definition posted on a website dedicated to helping people get clean and sober.

Until my doctor writes me a perscription to drink every day I'll have to settle for my heart meds...lol

So? I posted a website that says you have to have two booze-free days a week.

Those are dietary guidelines. They say nothing about whether or not one is an alcoholic.

That's not what i am talking about. People get a daily prescription, so Oh in have a prescription from my doctor to take daily mood altering drugs and that is somehow different than someone having a beer or glass of wine every day. Sure.

So are you taking any drugs for anxiety, depression, etc? How would Husker having a beer be wrong and that be OK?

In other countries, don't they drink on a daily basis? If you want to shake your finger and say "oh yes they are alcoholics", then have at it. Who cares? If they drink a couple drinks after work and are in their homes, what is that to you?

People like to put labels on others. Makes them feel all superior or something.

They sell wine in boxes so obviously people are drinking a LOT in this country.
But on average, we dont drink nearly as much as some countries. In fact, we are 48th in the world in terms of pure alcohol consumed per capita. We even trail Nigeria which has a high population of Muslims.

I think people still have a lot of puritan ideas about drinking. Personally, i think that life is about moderation. I think people can do most anything in moderation. But, Americans tend to love to live to excess. So, often there is a lot of excess no matter what it is. Eating, drinking, drugs, you name it.

Fine. Booze it up. Every day. No problem.
If you can't tell the difference between coffee, prescribed medications and liquor, that's a problem in itself.

Who's boozing it up? Can you not actually have an actual conversation or debate about anything without your snark? DH doesn't drink so it isn't something i would do daily. He grew up in alcoholic home so he doesnt' like to be around it which is fine because i don't care about it all that much one way or another. But, if i am out with friends i can enjoy some wine or beer, big whoop. But, there are people in our social circle who drink daily. They aren't alcoholics. You can label them whatever you want to label them but they are normal people going to work and living their lives like anyone else. I don't see that they are having a problem. So, yeah, there are alcoholics and they need help and should get help.
Sorry to disagree but if it's EVERY day you're an alcoholic. That's a general "you're" and not specific to anyone because I don't personally know how much any one drinks.
You (general you) can continue to believe drinking every day is fine and I'll continue to believe if you do you're an alcoholic. I'm not sure why it matters what I think if you're fine with what you're (general you) doing.

Needs it because without it there body physically reacts badly.
An alcoholic isn't someone who just gets drunk or just drinks a lot cause they like it.
An alcoholic is dependent on alcohol.

That's an asinine statement.

I'm guessing you would know all about assinine statements...

AGAIN...I'll type slowly....I never said anything about alcoholics.
If you need a drink every single day, you have a problem.

???? Because alcoholics aren't "fine". It causes huge problems.
