We can't buy tickets here so the BF and I drove an hour into CA yesterday to get some. We bought a ticket for the next 10 draws plus the other jackpot games. Thank goodness we did since I got a speeding ticket 5 minutes into the drive. The officer was super nice and I felt so bad about it. My glove box is embarrassing with 4 years of insurance cards and old registrations.

Fortunately a phone call fixed it and the ticket was voided. Cruise control all the way for me now. I am bummed that it had been almost 20 years since my last one so I have to start all over again.

Guess if it's this high, I will spend a buck.

I suspect there will be multiple tickets with the same number.

I just hope who ever wins, doesn't make a lot of noise about it before they make sure they are safe.

They added numbers.

It use to only go up to 40 or 50 somthing.

Yeah, the numbers go up to 69, but the power ball itself only goes to 35 and then they added the power play for an extra buck, making it a three dollar ticket.

So, it costs you more to loss. ;)

Not in Nevada. The only gambling we can do is in the casino. we were the first state to also remove daily fantasy because that money should be spent in the casino :(.

 PowerPlay has the same rules in all the states it is played. CA must have it's own to have different rules.

 I think two states do not have the power play option.

As for payouts (eliminating the power play) I noticed other states if you match 5/5 without the power ball match you win 1 mil.  In CA it depends on other winners so the payout varies it could be more or less.  I will opt to by in CA, no state income tax on lottery tickets winnings if I by in CA.

There would be a nice stay at one of those awesome islands as well.
