Divorced women who give away custody of their own kids, ain't right.
I disagree. They may, in fact, be actually in the best interest of their kids.

Hell no. There is no power in Heaven or Hell that could seperate me from my kids. I judge moms who give up custody.
Barring an inability to care for them whether it be an MI or dire straights, I judge, too. My MIL gave up her children to their father. So she could continue her affair with DH's teacher.

I'm not sure who WOULDN'T judge her that that decision!

ANYONE who leaves their kids is scum to me.
The kids should be top priority. Especially in a divorce situation.

Gaga - the OP asked for unpolular opinions on classic books, movies and music. Nice way to derail a thread with political gobbledy gook - don't we have enough threads for that?

???? So all moms should automatically have custody even if they are terrible parents? What if giving up custody is the only good thing they ever did for them?

Well, I could agree with you--but then we'd both be wrong.

OK, sorry. I was reading it from my phone and skimmed the topic. I will try to regroup.
The Vampire Diaries. I don't even know where to begin with that.
I don't care for the more recent Batman movies. I really liked the ones with Val Kimmel and Michael Keaton.
Christian Bale? Not so much.
Timothy Dalton as James Bond was awful.

Harry Potter sucked. I don't really like the genre. Lord of the rings was ok mainly due to some cool battle scenes, but a bunch of kids playing ball while flying on broomsticks or whatever it was they were doing--dumb.

Did you read the books? Flying on broomsticks is a very small part of the story.

The first movie or two sucked hours out of my life I'll never get back. No way am I committing to reading the books. I don't read fiction, anyway.

I didn't know that.
I feel sorry for you.

Most fiction is a waste of time. You can learn a lot more reading non fiction.

Spoken like someone who has never read fiction.

??? I've read a ton of fiction. Most of the "classics", most of Tolkeins works, Jim Kjelegard, jack London, Zane grey, Louis lamour, too many to mention.

Oh, I forgot all the series of Thomas covenant the unbeliever except the most recent few. Laura ingalls wilder, the entire series of both the hardy boys and Nancy Drew. The Shanara books except, again, the recent ones. Fritz Lieber.
