We're having a very noisy wind storm. Snow is projected by morning, temperatures slightly below freezing.

I lifted the wipers off the windshield so they won't be frozen in place.

Sleep well, my friends.

Frigid here and still windy. Glad I took care of the driveway last night.

Morning everyone! I guess winter has really set in here.

Well, winter had to come sooner or later. I bought a warm pair of mittens yesterday & got my scraper out of the trunk.

On my way back from dropping the boys off, I came across a whole herd of deer.

Easily 12-14 deer. Probably more.

In the road, on the side of the hill, drinking from the little creek.

I recorded a bit of it.

I was in a not-so-great mood but that was truly awesome.

Lifted my spirit real quick.

God knows what we need, when we need it.

Hello, my geeks! I've been missing y'all.

Not much happening around here. I've been miserably ill since mid October (bronchitis twice! 6 courses of antibiotics!), looks like I will be getting another sinus surgery soon. I had to miss a gay wedding. : (

We got everyone on both sides of the family sick when we went to Christmas. Next year we are skipping xmas, since at least two of us are sick every single year.

I was diagnosed with Celiac disease back in November, and Bunny is undergoing a FIE through the school.

Bunny is reading all th time now!! I am super excited about that.

Not much else happening in Tangerineland.

I hope y'all are doing okay. If anyone has a really good gluten free recipe, please share.

Skinnytaste.com has some gluten free recipes, tang.

Sorry about your illnesses. What is an FIE? Sounds like a good thing for her...

Good luck on your future surgery.

Lily, there is an area on my commute where quite frequently a herd of deer nosh on vegetation quite close to the highway. I'm always afraid one will try to jump the wall onto the road. It happened the first year I moved East, crashing through the sunroof of a car, killing the driver. So be careful!

Oops...I thought it was czech who saw deer...

Morning everyone. It is definitely winter here but the upside is it is already mid January so we only have to endure about 2 months of it instead of 4.

Lily watch out for the deer. Glad they made your day.

Good morning All! Hope everyone stays warm. Sounds cold out there. Cold here too with high of 31 and windy.

I noticed that the outside water hose is still hooked up. I mentioned it to DH. Who responded that he did not think it would be this cold? WTF, It is January. Which is winter. Hose should have been disassembled back in November. If the pipes burst, I will not be a happy camper. Sometimes I wonder how he thinks.

Got the faux snow off the windows yesterday. Have to get the rest of the Christmas decorations and the tree put up. That won't happen today. I didn't get enough sleep and adulting today just isn't going to happen.

DS is busy playing with his stove. Not sure what he's whipping up but it's bound to be good. I still can't believe he's two.

That would be fine if the shut off valve was not in the basement.  The pipe needs to be drained.

I keep hoping "this is the day" I won't need the cough medicine anymore. I wake up feeling GREAT....

and if I think "today's the day" ... I'm wrong.

Took Sudafed and Robitussen DM, went to Walmart, drove home and ....

drowned in mucous. Again.

Breathing now, still have to go to Costco. More meds shortly then I'll go.

Temperature is 30, winds also 30. Maybe 35. And very dry.

So I had my turkey & Swiss cheese sliders on pretzel buns...BUT...instead of the usual packet of garlic & herb mayo, they gave me HORSERADISH & DIJON.

Luckily, I found some plain mayo...

DH thinks he passed his stone! He is up and happy! He put away the heating pad! He's not taking any pills! I think we're going to go to the sonogram anyway just to make sure it has passed but at least he's feeling better!

Tangerine, my son is gluten intolerant. I have tons of ideas and recipes. PM and I'll give you a few.

I've had a slight migraine for a few days. Just took something for it. Maybe it will go away.

I got my car back today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They called me when I was coming home from work. I gladly gave them back the rental. Hate driving unfamiliar cars. Plus, it didn't have a heated steering wheels, a must this time of year. They even detailed my car. I feel so happy. It is so cold here. I want to get a fire going but have to run out in a bit to bring some checks to the BOD of the softball group for which I am treasurer. I get nervous leaving the fire going when I am not here, I may do it anyway. With wind chill, it is about 4 here.
