Got stuff done.  Hopefully I can mail out a few things today.  Well overdue.  But at least I got things done!

Things done is always a good feeling.

Morning.

I have things to do today, as well.

Hope everyone has a great day.

I have completed 3 days of my workout plan. Every muscle in my body hurts. Muscles I didn't know I had hurt.

Wait until they get into college, NAOW!

Paul is still on Christmas break.

UNT starts school on Tuesday, the 19th.

(He's been on break since December 11th.)

Four day weekend for the boys. I'll take them shopping Monday. I want to re-do their room in sports theme, and they will enjoy picking out decorations. Tuesday they'll get to spend the day with Grandma & Papa.

My sister got those huge wall stickers and put them on the wall.  Fenway park, etc.  Ugh.  I forget the name but really jazzed up my tiny bf's room.

I'll have to check it out! We're going to Hobby lobby. It's about a 30 minute drive away, but they had a lot of nice things when I was there in November.

That is them! Fathead! They are beautiful. Not cheap looking at all. And Spiderman is 'jumping' out of the closet. Really fun.

My BFF used them to decorate her nephew's room. It turned out really nice......if you are a NY Giants fan. I think they can get pricey when they start adding up.

They are decals, FNW.

From what I understand, they are easy to put up, and won't damage the paint.smile

Easy to put up. No damage. And can be moved around. My tiny niece has the Disney Princess theme. It is so cute!

DS has similar decals on the walls in his room. Easy to put on and take off. No damage. Can't even tell they were on the wall.

No. And no. My cousin has a couple. He's military, so moved a few times. Never had a problem with them.

it cracked us all up when our grandma got him the giant Cleveland Browns helmet for Christmas lol

My DH got a few fatheads with the school logo on them for the locker rooms. They stay up really well even with all the humidity. They are easy to move around too. You can even send in action shots and they will make fatheads of your child.

Brunch was courtesy of DS. He cracked the eggs, whisked the cheese and spices into the eggs, and even stirred the egg/veg mixture on the stove. We have a future MasterChef Junior, people!

FIL logic: I made this candy but I'm not telling you the recipe and you can't tell anyone about the candy because they might steal the recipe.

It's funny back in my grandmother's time ladies held their family recipes secret or if they shared them they would mess it up slightly so nobody else's was as good as theirs.  Now we all gladly share & get recipes for free on line.

I find it weird that he doesn't even want you to tell anyone about the candy.  Oh well to each his own I guess.

OMG, lexxy, that what my ex-MIL used to do! She gave me recipes to make for my ex and they never were "as good as mom's." After she died my ex FIL invited us over for dinner and he made one of the recipes. I watched. She left out cheese on the recipe. CHEESE. Made all the difference. So I went over the recipes with him and he fixed them for me. He was such a sweetheart. His suicide really made me sad.

Weird doesn't begin to scratch the surface.

He also says he's going to make something healthy and yummy the next time we come over but he won't say what it is. Problem is, his idea of healthy and yummy is flavorless. Also, DH doesn't like his dad's version of healthy. Last time his dad cooked "healthy," he made black bean burgers. They were unseasoned and overcooked. Once, he served baby cucumbers. Didn't do anything with them. Just put them on the plate and called it a day. I forget what he served with the cucumbers. He has a whole cabinet full of spices and doesn't use them.

He does have some dishes that are fantastic. His tacos are to die for. So is this sausage pasta dish he makes. His mashed potatoes and veggies are usually delish too. I love his stuffing. Awhile back, he made a salad with rotisserie chicken and romaine that was yummy.

I gagged when I read black bean burgers. Rude or not there is now way I'd be able to even take a polite bite.

Morningstar makes a really really super good black bean burger. I love them. And cucumbers don't stay long in my house. Everyone eats them as I cut them. I could put them on a plate plain and they'd be gone.

It can be hard to eat what he cooks. Especially if he cooks chicken or steak. The Sahara has more moisture than his chicken and that's not an exaggeration. His steak is so far past well done that I could shoe a horse with it.

DH wasn't aware that chicken or steak could be moist until he met me. He also wasn't aware that veggies could taste good.

Cheese is my favorite food group biggrin

I've had delish black bean burgers. Just not at my FIL's wink

I love cucumbers. So does DS. When I was cutting the cucumbers for his party, he kept snatching slices out of the bowl.

I am guilty of over grilling chicken.  I'm fine with the oven just not the grill.

It should be a crime to ruin good steak like that!
