Do either of them have, I guess you could call it, a day pass?

If I wanted to get bulk items for this party we are throwing, but don't want a membership?

Sometimes you will find a coupon for a free 60 day membership, BJ's offers those. I would suggest you ask around to friends and see if someone has a membership. You could go shopping with them. For your parent's party I doubt you would have any trouble having someone agree.

If you have a friend with a sam's card you can have them take you one day and pick out what you need  and after your friend pays for it you can pay them back.  That is what I done before I got a card membership.

I'm pretty sure Sam's has a day pass. I don't know of it costs anything.

Ok I seem to recall that you can get a day pass at these clubs BUT they jack up the price of items you buy by 5% I believe.

Oh and Sam's doesn't have the greatest selection of hor d'ouevres, Costco and BJs have the best selection.

Ok. Thanks.

I'm still trying to figure everything out. Pricing and that kind of thing.

Sam's day pass has a 10% service charge. BJ's had a 15% surcharge for a one day pass.

I would see if any of your friends or family has a membership that they could go along with you. You can pay for your own purchase with either cash or a credit card but need to use the member's card for the transaction to take place. Heck, I have given my card to friends for them to shop without me.

Just a warning, some clubs are picky on what credit cards they accept. Some of our local Sams clubs are just starting to accept Mastercard but not Visa yet.
