DG, that is great about the vaca!

I love getting fresh honey, as I did from Czech, i look up recipes just so I can use it.

Waffle irons def need some olive oil brushed on them. The amount of flour in waffles make it like a glue, so, hence, the need for oil.

I had an awesome day! It didn't stop snowing until right before I left for work so I didn't snow blow. I had to go in on time since I was starting in the new Program today. OMG I love it! This program is organized, very well run. I feel extremely comfortable and don't feel as though I have a ton to learn, not exhausted. What a dysfunctional program I came from!

Anyway, when I came home I immediately put on my snow blowing outfit and went out to do the driveway, DD came out and did in front of the garage where the blower can't clear and she did the steps and walkway. We were done in less than 30 minutes. She was awesome!

Ahhh, I am actually looking forward to going into work tomorrow. That hasn't happened in a long time.

So today the high...the freaking high today...was -2. When I went to work it was -14. We have had 48 straight hours of sub zero temps. I am done. The dog has pooped twice in the kitchen because it's too cold to go outside. At least he has tiny poops.

Tomorrow I start a cleanse with a few of my team. I am dreading it because you can't eat ANYTHING but it will be a good bonding experience.

It was a holiday for me.  I slept until a bit after 0700 (I usually get up at 0400 on a work day), so it was quite nice.  smile

There was an MLK parade today but I did not wish to brave the crowds.  They did a segment on the news, at least.  The weather was sunny, breezy, and in the low 80s today.  I got out and about today and did a little shopping.  Spent the afternoon at home watching the telly and spending time on my computer.  Upgraded to Win 10 from Win 7 Professional over the weekend.  Also upgraded to MS Office 2016, which a friend had a multi-license for, so he let me use a license.  I offered to pay him but he declined.  The upgrade was easy, seamless and took about 10 hours.  No problems whatsoever.  No conflicts with any programs, so I was very impressed.  As I use Win 7 Enterprise at work, this is my first dabbling with Win 10, so I am finding out where everything is.  I like it so far.

Back to work tomorrow.  I am looking forward to it.  I have to admit I was a bit bored today, but did get some coloring done, and some work on a Powerpoint presentation so not all was lost.

The urologist said everything came out okay! Now we're headed to the surgeon on Thursday to talk about getting his gall bladder taken out.

biggrin  It was a better report than I thought actually.  I was a bit concerned about his Creatnine level but the doctor said it was probably because he hadn't been drinking enough.  He gave him a "poor man's test" to do to see if he was drinking enough.

Good for him for passing it on his own. That doesn't sound like fun to me. He does have a great nurse looking after him though. That's probably why he did so well.

He's actually quite hard headed and not at all pussy whipped. He broke his collar bone once and said the kidney stone was way worse. He does like the urologist and listens to him so that's nice. I just want him to get his gallbladder taken care of because when he's at work there's virtually no medical care available. It's not uncommon for him to call and tell me they had someone have a heart attack or something similar and die before anyone could get to them. If his gallbladder were to rupture he'd be in a heap of trouble.

Oh wow. That's nothing to mess around with. I don't blame you for being cautious.

Pissed off toddler alert. If he's good and he actually eats instead of monkeying around, he's allowed to sit in a regular chair. Well, tonight he chose to monkey around instead of eat so he lost the privilege of sitting in a regular chair and is back in his high chair. He's pissed.

Oh I am! You should've seen the look on his face. He sat still for the longest time just staring straight ahead with his hands clasped in front of his face. He stayed like that for a good 15 minutes then started eating.

We don't battle over food in this house. Eat or don't. There's no begging or pleading with DS for him to eat.

Good for you. It's teaching him consequences. That's so important.

Y'all would be proud of DH for how much of a backbone he's grown during this toddler phase. He used to be such a softie when it came to DS. I nipped that quickly because I will not tolerate DS playing DH and I against each other. It took awhile but now DH is really good at not giving in to DS' whining. He's a sucker for DS' puppy dog look though.

Me? I look DS in the eye and tell that I can't hear him when he whines. DS has a lot of freedom but he also has rules that he is expected to follow. DH calls me The Enforcer. I wear the badge with pride.

Absolutely. He's no stranger to consequences.

He very much likes to test limits and push boundaries. It's annoying some days but I stay consistent. I know the pay off will be worth it.

When he's good, you forget that he's only two. When he's being naughty, watch out.

I have to laugh, actually. He had a bad habit of putting stuff on the cable box so it can "cook". This is bad for the cable box because it traps the heat. I told DS that I'm going to get a basket and it will be his 'toy time out' basket. I explained that each and every toy he puts on the cable box will go into that basket until he earns the toy back. I bought a basket, showed it to him, and reminded him of what will happen to toys he puts on the cable box. Surprisingly, he has not put one toy anywhere near that cable box since I bought the basket. Funny how that works!
