Brrrrr, just took the dog out. He did his business fast and turned and ran toward the front door. Nor 'easter blowing in this weekend. Yay!

I had strangest, stupidest, most frustrating dream.

Dreamed we had bought a nice, new place. But none of us could find it again. We all knew where it was, but couldn't figure out how to get there.

Crazy.

Well, crap.

Our forecast for tomorrow has changed.

We were supposed to get just a light wintry mix in the early morning.

Now it's early mix, getting heavier midmorning to afternoon and then possibly changing over to freezing rain in the evening.

Unless it's windy, it'll all stick.

We have an inch of new snow this morning and it's still snowing. But, it IS above 0!!! We are at a very balmy 12 degrees. ;)

DD sent her very sick three year old over here. Two others have dental appointments, then she will take those two to school, pick the sick one up and take him to the doctor. Poor kiddo.

My #2 has the sniffles so I'm home with him. #1 is at grandma's. Didn't want to send #2 because he would just over eat, run himself ragged in their basement/game room, throw up, and get worse.

DGS has a temp of 102.5 with children's Tylenol on board. Man, he's sick. He doesn't even want to be held anymore. I can hardly wait for momma to get back! Otherwise I would be taking him to the doctor NOW!

the roads are icy and I don't have a car seat!!

Yeah, I would take him in, too. Fortunately #2 just has the sniffles. I just want him to take it easy today so he doesn't get worse.

But, the cars are a different story. They get solar heated on a sunny day.

We don't have a huge house. And when everyone is home and we're cooking the heat that is generated is amazing. We can open windows but it's been pretty muggy lately. I don't like muggy.

South Texas is the only place I know of where you have to use both your heater and your a/c in the same 12 hours!

We do this. Literally. It gets really cold at night so we kick the heat on before bed but during the day it's sweltering.

I open the doors and windows in those in between times.

Or put another blanket on the bed.

Of course I keep a fan on in my room pretty much all the time.

We do this. Literally. It gets really cold at night so we kick the heat on before bed but during the day it's sweltering.

It is not a usual occurrence here but it happened this winter a few times. I'm pretty sure it is straight heat from now until April.

rain turned to snow last night so this morning was like skating to work!

got to low 30's but windy so not really warm, and now clouding up and drizzling, YES drizzling, and supposed to turn to snow. my DH is on nights tonight, so my puppies and I will keep wood burning stove blazing, snuggle on the couch, watch some cooking network and then early to bed...yawnnn

You would laugh your head off at what sends people into a panic around here.

But in our defense, our winter weather plan is to not have winter weather.

That's how rare we deal with it.
