Just had a rip-roaring snowball fight with the boys. Then gang up on me, being the only girl. I still won. DH made a sled path down the driveway. It looks like a luge.

We finally got the christmas tree down. Dad felt up to helping, which is good, I didnt really feel like wresting the thing out the door by myself.

I have chili simmering for dinner.

Do you wrap the whole thing in an old bed sheet to keep the needles from falling off all over your house?

Enjoying a nice relaxing day off. Going to dinner at a new restaurant in town with DH's staff. They are fun people and as we are kind of insulated from the world here, it's good that we all get along and enjoy going out together. It makes it more livable for everyone.

Kind of jealous about everyone's snowfall. We haven't had a real snow storm in MN yet this year. We have had snow, but nothing that stopped traffic or made people alter their plans. Just about a foot or so at once. No biggie.

Fun! What kind of restaurant? I like trying new places.

It's a farm to table type restaurant that uses exclusively local produce and meat. They even publish the names of the farms they do business with on their menu. I can't wait to try it.

I brought in the outside Christmas decor today, at least those not frozen to the ground.  I still have two deer and one angel plus the cords out side, will get those in April!

Its only about 6 feet from where the tree was to the door. We just yank and vacuum

LOL. Yup, April sounds good to me too. The cords are frozen under the snow, so we don't worry about them until Easter at least.

OMG I loved that as a kid.  I even try to direct a lot of the snow I blow (yeah, no drug jokes please) to one spot on the lawn do the kids can tunnel. I used to aim it toward the end of the driveway near where the plow builds it up but then I can't see backing out of my driveway!

We only had enough snow for that maybe 3 times in my whole life.

We did the igloo thing last year. This snow is too soft and dry. Can't really form anything.

I ended up having poutine as an appetizer - it was delicious! For my entree I had a turkey burger with bacon and egg salad on it. I could only eat half and I brought the fries home too. But I saved room for a bit of dessert! Warm apple tart with cinnamon ice cream...I shared with 2 others. We will go back, the prices were really good.

DH just cleaned the bathroom in our bedroom (unprovoked, he just thought it need it, God bless him). You would think he found the cure for cancer the way he strutting around the house right now. It's kind of hysterical. Never had a man cleaned a thing without being asked and been prouder of himself than this man is right now.

As chef once said, a woman can do that stuff every day and it's just what women are supposed to do. A man does it and they think their name is going to be put on the list to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
